Now the only question, PW or CFM, So far the leap sounds better

Emiliano Padilla PW sounds better the idle and ground sounds sound like an IAE while this lounges like nothing

I do agree with you, PW does have a better idle sound, but I still prefer the Leap's takeoff sound

Emiliano Padilla yeah that's fair, if only we could combine the two 🙂

None. CFM Leap has a louder more interesting takeoff sound than PW but only that. As soon as the wheels are up it turns into an excruciating nauseating high pitched sound. From then on I prefer PW. I had to lower the volume rather than increase it.

Wow, sounds like GE-90 from B77W
@calvinrovinescu61668 жыл бұрын
azim azhar much higher pitched though.
@raykrislianggi8 жыл бұрын
Seems like it sounds much more similar to RR Trent XWB tho.
@jigsaw95sai8 жыл бұрын
raykrislianggi - AniMusic hard to say. Because this engine basically developed by GE which same with the GE-90B engine
@raykrislianggi8 жыл бұрын
azim azhar Technically no. CFM International is a 50-50 joint venture between GE and Safran and has no directly developed component from the GE90. LEAP was developed directly from the GEnx, and it doesn't mean that it has to sound like the GE90 engine when it's not. GEnx does sound like a GE90, but the sound texture and characteristics of the LEAP is actually closer to RR Trent 1000 and Trent XWB at a higher pitch, which is to my surprise as well.
