OMG. This worked for me just now. I have a Nissan Altima 2009 with the air bag warning flashing for 2 years now. I called Nissan Alhambra on Main Street and they will charge me $170 just for diagnostics alone if I bring it in today. My son will be taking his behind-the-wheel test Nov 29, 2021 and I don't want the examiner failing him for the blinking air bag. Thank you so much My Gen IV. You saved me $170.

Actually my Nissan tidda horn was not working since long time I replaced the clock spring n my horn was working fine but I encountered another problem which belongs to my air bag light fleshing continues n mechanic suggest me to do computers diagnostic test then error will be reset n I have to pay 💰 more for that procedure but today I saw ur video n fixed the issue without doing computer error test. Works on a 2008 Altima. Just had to replace the passenger seat due to a faulty passenger occupancy sensor. Instead of replacing the sensor ($1100), I just replaced the whole seat ($45 at the local junk yard). Used this video to reset the light! Thanks!

My airbag light isn’t on, but I’m familiar with these diagnostic modes. Quick tips I have for anyone who needs to work on the SRS system. 1. Airbag wirings will have a *YELLOW* connector. 2. Make sure you disconnect the battery! I’ve typically taken both the leads off positive and negative just for redundancy, and be sure to wait however long the manufacturer says. If you don’t know, follow the 30 minute rule. Wait 30 minutes then start your work. Reason being is airbags have capacitors, which is why in the event of a collision the airbags still have an electrical charge stored and that will deploy the airbags. 3. If you’re going to use a multimeter, *DO NOT* test the module or the airbag component itself. Your multimeter sends out a voltage and then averages to what it is comparing, same thing with the Ohms setting, sending a charge to the airbag itself or the module can result in the airbag deploying. 4. Only test the wiring’s that lead up to the airbag. So from one wire to another and it isn’t connected to the airbag. 5. Always face the airbag up, so if it were to deploy for whatever reason, it would pop up but the force of it popping makes it stay down. 6. If you are replacing an airbag, you must deploy your old one before throwing it away, you can either do it yourself or take it to a shop and they will do it.
