wait i'm sorry this dude almost murdered two girls with a knife and he got off because he was able to be renting out his apartment? that's the only issue they saw in that situation? not the girl with the sliced neck? edit: it's wild how many people turned this into a race/minority thing. it doesn't matter what your skin tone looks like or where you come from. if you almost murder two people, you should be in jail point blank. people keep saying shit about protected minorities and if he was a different color it would make difference. it literally won't. it's a systemic issue and has nothing to do with someones ethnicity and everything to do with how absolutely fucked up our legal system is. like why are you using this as a reason to be racist i'm not understanding

Idk to be honest, fry his brain on a chair ? Why do we always have to understand, he nearly killed her for ZERO LEGITIMATE REASONS, he should be d**d or at least heavily sedated till he d**s. Im sorry if this sounds blunt but cold blooded killers (even bad ones that cannot kill s**t like this mf) shouldnt be able to be part of society, society tells us to behave, not give punches back and refer any problems to authorities, but it cant protect us from real animals like him ? (wich we are, but society shapes us in a way that should make us more than that, especially in rich countries) Idk bruvs.. I dont think i could restrain myself in that kindof situation, if it was me in that hallway i dont think this girl would still be alive, this would have trigered my flight or fight response and i wouldnt even be able to grab my phone and call 911, id just be focused on ending him before he ends anyone else or getting the f away to grab my gun.. Honestly big up to this man (The guy that saw the scene, not the perpetrator sorry that wasnt clear), he saved both of them, he is a bigger man than i'll ever be

I’ve only stayed at an airbnb once, it was a really good experience, me and my dad were attending a comic con and the hosts were lovely. At the time I was completely unaware something like the incidents in this video, especially the violence was even a possibility. It’s honestly shocking :(

Yeah what’s shown in the video are the exceptions not the average. You could make a video like this about hotels with high crime rates/robbery rates/ r@pe rates etc and it would seem pretty horrifying to stay at hotels. This would be why I refuse to stay at Airbnb’s I can’t trust the owners. I don’t know how the rooms going to look. I don’t know who’s watching. I don’t know how safe it is My parents and I travel across states to do shows often (not much in winter though). We only stay in hotels, and, once recently, a motel. I know somewhat what to expect at a hotel. I wouldn’t at a Airbnb. Also, I wouldn’t want to be in a house renting a room with a stranger. I mean, we are going on a 12 hour trip at some point this year for a festival. We even have to get a room to stay in half way there. I can’t imagine doing that in someone else’s home. It just feels wrong I guess
@zack-lk8if2 жыл бұрын

@@zack-lk8if I trust hotels more, as each room is cleaned and checked by multiple people before we stay in it, instead of one person, who owns the house. And in some Airbnbs, you stay in the house with them, just in different areas. That feels less safe to me, especially since they have keys to unlock doors to take your things. At hotels, only you and staff have a way into your room. And we don’t ever meet our neighbors, as we leave and return early morning and late night when at shows. This is just my opinion, but as someone who has never stayed in a Airbnb, it feels less safe to me. I don’t know if it actually is or isnt, but still. Also, you may know what the room looks like somewhat, but there may be things you don’t know about. Moldy or pealing bathrooms, bed bugs in the bed, sometimes even animals in ones that don’t say animals are there. This is based on what I’ve heard online, so not the most trustable, but still

The thing about hotels and apartments is the fact that you never know who you're living next to or why they're renting the room out. same goes for houses as you'll never truly know who your neighbors are, but the difference is that you're 'safer' in a house due to the distance between you and your next door neighbor. so unless the hotel/apartment owners have shown to truly not care about instances like these or ignore them, I try never to blame them for the incident.

If you search right, you can find good deals with breakfasts, gyms and pools… if I can’t afford a hotel in the area, I would rather just rent a cabin in a national park. Obviously less accommodation but usually they are like 10 bucks a night… and I trust park rangers a lot more than Jim bob and his weird cousin, lol.

I had an AirBNB where people could stay at my “kitty box”. My “kitty box” was my guest house that I would put my, at the time, 15 cats (I now have 17, I know I’m crazy) in when I went on vacations and I would rent it out. It seemed like a good idea. I wouldn’t have to bother my mom or brother with staying with my cats, instead these kind people whom I would ask questions to make sure they were good, normal people could take care of them. But one day when I returned home from a vacation to Germany, I realized that 3 of my cats; Frodo, Clark, and Aragorn were missing. Turns out these seemingly “nice” people stole my cats. I ended up getting them back but ever since then I’ve shut down my AirBNB and instead ask friends or family to take care of my cats.

Airbnbs have always made me feel uncomfortable the moment someone said they found cameras inside of theirs. I thought they would be nice alternatives to hotels because they're more private for me and my friends , But now every time we go somewhere I'm like let's just go to a hotel. Just like with most things it was supposed to be a way for people to make extra money by renting out their homes if they weren't going to be there, And of course a few people ruin it for the many. (I'm sorry for that girl but honey if you have a criminal past you will always be viewed as a criminal no matter what That's how men get treated so you're going to get treated the same. If 1/3 of Americans have a criminal background maybe 1/3 of Americans need to reevaluate their life choices, I'm 32 years old with absolutely zero things on my record so it's definitely achievable, I get that it doesn't feel like justice when you feel like what you did was minor I also agree that every crime should not be a crime because some laws are literally kind of silly other humans being able to dictate how you can live your life It's just silly overall. I've seen too many people who want to be treated Like they are special but will heavily condemned somebody else for that exact same thing.)
