The 90's were the last days of the good ole days. We will never know another time that peaceful again. Things were changing for the worse then but it was easy to overlook. Then one fateful September morning in 2001 the truth we had all avoided or refused to see came true.
@1MNUTZ6 жыл бұрын
stupidasso77 bro there were terrorist attacks before 2001 dumbass and wtf you talking about peace the 90s were full of fucking violence lol you're a moron. I was fortunate enough to play a tiny role in this movie and was able to hang a bit with some these great people that were involved. I will forever treasure those couple days I worked in Manhattan beach. Rob Bowman (who directed this movie) is the man!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Melvina Reynolds Thanks for asking? It's a rough business. Lots of competition. You always have to be studying and keeping your headshots up to date. It takes a lot of money to continue. I would get call back after call back then not get the job.I started writing songs and performing after that. Please check out my music on youtube or soundcloud at Brian David Winkler. Thanks for taking the time to write. PEACE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

brian david winkler Acting is something I really want to do but I don't have the money to get into it and no idea where to start.I'm pretty clueless when it comes to k owing where to start on things.But the only time I'm happy is when I'm acting.I get annoyed with nepotism.I see all these young actors who get into acting because they're related to someone in the business.It's gross.And I will definitely check out your music😊

Funny thing about this movie. I live in Cincinnati, and the "Devil's Backbone Race" is hilarious. That race at the end covers about 1/4 of the city and links together roads that don't come anywhere close to each other. We did some rough math and it would take a few hours by car to hit all those roads. Funny. Very nostalgic. I live about 15 minutes from where the half pipe is supposed to be under the bridge. Thanks for the memories.

As a Cincinnati native, you almost have to watch this movie religiously... So many iconic area landmarks are in this, and a few that are no longer standing. Riverfront Stadium where a lot of the final parts of the movie are filmed is no longer standing, and in the skate race sequence to finish the movie, a lot of the principal photography was shot on the Kentucky side of the river and then magically they wind up downtown without EVER crossing the river in the movie. Little continuity error only locals would see ;)

This was such a cool movie that was marketed so poorly. The poster, tagline(s) and even the trailer make it out to be some feel-good kids movie that you would watch along with Mighty Ducks or 3 Ninjas but it's much more mature than it leads on. Unlike a lot of films I enjoyed from my childhood, I STILL watch this movie from time to time and enjoy it all the way through. Such a shame that Shane McDermott called it quits on acting not long after this movie because for someone who was only maybe 16 or 17 at the time, the dude had some chops and made for a great lead.
@Gurlonline072 жыл бұрын
Yes it was a more mature movie, more like a coming of age movie. It is a shame Shane McDermott didn’t continue in acting. I had the biggest crush on him and he had such a captivating persona! I heard in an interview he said he wanted to have a family of his own and that’s why he quit the business. He lives in Texas now.

The Devil's Backbone was a legit series of hills that only Shane McDermott was able to complete. Jack Black was quoted as saying, "Shane was so fucking bitchin on those blades. He took down The Devil's Backbone. Some of us tried as well but couldn't hang." There was a sequel planned that involved Mitchell going to the Moon to grind some moon rocks but that idea eventually became Space Cowboys.

Man I love the 90’s so much. And this movie was a huge part of my childhood. It was cuz of this movie and Brink why I got into blading and skateboarding 🛹 the 90’s were thee best ever. I have to say the 90’s was like the Family decade. Where every single weekend was family time. Like going to Hollywood video or blockbuster to rent movies and games or go skating or to the movie theater or the outdoor theater it was awesome I wish there was a time machine already so I could go back in time to the 90’s I don’t mind wearing Jincos again lol 🤘🏽😂

omg can't believe this movie is so underrated!! What a nice story and plot! Solid acting from soon-to-be-famous-stars-newcomers such as Jack Black and Seth Green. Ofcourse Shane makes the movie what it is. Too bad he quit acting! Amazing rollerblading stunts and awesome cinemetography!! This movie is the most underrated 90s classic that you will ever find!!!!! Check out the full movie on KZbin for free by doing search for it!!! This movie is so rare and is only available in VHS...
