Suprisingly what I notice most about your fixes is that the low/mid yuck came off.

Great to see you how you improve the sound of any valve amp, particularly with all the gigs we do with our Marshall TSL100's and when the other bands use modellers straight into the PA, they are never heard in the mix, and when you hear the clean sound, there's always excessive digital clipping. Modellers always sound like a swarm of flies especially next to the clarity and tightness of our Marshalls. I am curious to see what you would do to my TSL100's to improve whatever, I have no idea, I tube roll like crazy, I found my flavour, and, in both my TSL's I have had the mains transformers changed which has drastically lowered the floor noise. I still haven't experimented with OP transformers, still have the original dagnalls. Any thoughts? I am in Sydney from the band 'Dark Order'

Haven’t modded a TSL before, for Marshall stuff stick to restoring and modding the models from the 80s and earlier…

So yes there may be a grid stopper but there’s seriously ~200v on the input jack from that hot shield setup? Am I understanding that correctly? So 200v on your cable and into your guitar?

The high voltage is on the shield, not the tip….however all it takes is for the cable to short/fail and then yeah you’ll have that voltage coming at ya.

Without "Cobra Kai" Airbourne would not be known. That being said, Airbourne are the greatest band ever other than Metallica or Ac Dc. And Headfirst amps is leading the way with this new "tube" technology. All others are going digital; because it is superior, but Headfirst is pushing the realms of technology with these new fanged "tubes." Not sure what these actual "tubes" are??? But I trust that Headfirst is leading the way with the newest tech to provide these touring bands with the latest and greatest tech. I trust that there are HUGE PROBLEMS WITH MOST MODELERS as Headfirst would not investigate the use of tubes before exhausting the "digital realm."

That amp is has so many bad principles of amp design. Take a look at my 1976 mkii and my 1981 jcm i redesigned with only using 1 Marshall part
