Key word is clean your AIRBRUSH! Leave it dirty, you will be buying a new one! Especially if you use hardener/2k! I also clean my regular brushes then oil the bristles with 3 in 1 or mineral oil ! Never thought of carb cleaner! Good tip Matthew ! I have had my brushes for over 30 year’s trouble free! Oil the needle also!🤔🫡🫡🇺🇸

Just like you have to keep your brushes clean or you'll be buying new ones more often than you want to!!

Thank you, Matthew! So far I've been using acrylics so I've been using water and lacquer (paint) thinner to clean my airbrush. I haven't painted with enamels yet, but I probably will in the near future. I'll have to keep carb cleaner in mind.

Just checking to make sure I wasn't the only one who does this. Takes 30 seconds and it's spotless. Brake cleaner works great to, and its cheaper. I think they might be the same thing.

Thanks for the reminder Matt on how to cleanourair brushes. I never thought of using carb cleaner. Although one of my air brushes is a plastic testors and I know I'll have to avoid the carb cleaner on this one.

Badger make's a Needle Juice Airbrush Lubricant cost about $ 7.00 r so makes the needle slide easier I put a drop r so on my air brush after I clean it helps , Never thought about using carb cleaner seam to work just fine from what I seen enjoyed 😁

almost all carb cleaners have acetone ,xyline ,toluene and sometimes diatone alcohol. All these are great solvents but make sure if the seals of our aibrush can handle them.

Hey very good video I'm an Acrylics person myself but it was a very good video especially the part with how long you have been using it so it's not eating up o rings 🙂for those cleaning enamels or lacquers. One day I will jump out there and give those two a try but I paint on canvas and though I could do it in Oils I use Acrylics simply because of the lack of need for smelly products. I do all my painting in my basement and so having the house smell a lot would be an issue for me so thus the use of water based paints. I've had the big buck airbrushes as well as the Harbor Freight and everything in between and all work fine with models as long as they are clean. If I'm in the house I'll only use water based paints and cleaners on models, clothes or people. Keep the nasties out of your house!

I'll try that trick for mine, thought I had cleaned it after I used it nope stayed uncleaned for yrs untill last yr when I tried using it. so this past month I slowly dug out the paint and soaked it in thinner to where I think it's usable but the bowl for the paint is plugged, dug some of it out to at least air will go through. Maybe your cleaning trick will get the rest out.

For those of us who spray in the house or in the basement and have no outside venting, the best solution is water basted acrylic paints. I clean my airbrush with Tamiya Airbrush cleaner and windshield washer fluid. No smell at all. Once I learned how to apply acrylic paint, it comes out as good if not better than oil based paints. Just saying.

Carburetor cleaner is supposed to leave a lubricant when it drys and brake cleaner does not. I assume you have used both since your Ollies is probably like mine and they never keep anything in stock at all times. Does you airbrush feel different if you use one or the other? I never thought of using carb cleaner because of the dry lube. I guess it doesn't affect your paint as all you have shown on the channel look good.
