Really nice wood grain effect but personally I can't understand why you seperated them. "Real" wood panels don't have an aligned grain after laying them so it makes the artwork not believable...

Thank you glad you liked it , the panels was the customers request I airbrushed this artwork as a sample for them prior to completing their helmet and I thought it would double as a useful tutorial for YT. Cheers appreciate the comment 👍🏻👌🏻

Lines with the second coat using brown: actually creating a base wood grain so keep in mind this is going to be a bit of a purposeful process, you want to THINK...wood grain and even knots in the grain. It's only half random and half designing the grain. If you understand art you will know how to allow the random strokes to dictate (to a degree), where to be more purposeful in the grain effect. When he says a few drops...he put 9 drops so don't try with 3 or 4 drops he used 9, so he, being quite accomplished, would be the best way to follow.
