Iwata is lagging on keeping up with the competiti9n like HS which now i thnk HS and its German quality is not above and way beyond Iwata. I do love my Airbrushes IWATA's But im thi8ning of moving over to HS This brush is prob the only one i dont have from iwata.

Thanks for your comment and I hear you …I need to have a bit more of a play with H&S as when I tried one a few years ago, I loved the quality and how smooth it felt however I noticed a slight trigger delay which made it hard for me to get used to as iwata and Creos are instant as soon as you pull back on the trigger. That said, it may have just been that particular brush ?? I am keen to know if anyone else has had a similar experience 🤷‍♂️

Are you restricted to stencils and other obstructions like masking tape to get the shape you want for airbrushes?
@AirbrushAsylum
@AirbrushAsylum 5 күн бұрын
No, stencils are great for getting a basic design on the surface you are painting or creating sharp edges as well as textures, that said you can also freehand with your airbrush and I think a mix of both is best 👍🏻😉

I do airbrushing on cars. I've used the Sears Model 364-15506 airbrush for over 40 years. You can mix just as much paint as you need. If you use a traditional spray gun or even an aerosol can, you have a large spray pattern of like 6-8 inches for a tiny 1/4 chip. With an airbrush, you have precision control and can actually get to the point, with a little practice, where you can perfectly fill in a tiny scratch with no masking and little to no overspray. With acrylic lacquer, the paint goes on very thin (with a 50/50 paint to thinner ratio) so you have to hit it several times. But with the airbrush, putting down multiple thin coats is very easy and clean to do. Just like in the video, it's important to get an airbrush that has variable paint output. Kind of like a variable speed drill. With the adjustable airbrush, you pull the trigger back to increase the flow of paint. A lady I know is so precise, she can airbrush intricate designs on ladies' fingernails. It's good to practice with water-based paints on scrap material first. Before you know it, you'll be an old pro! Great video!!

The cutout has another use. Some people, if their airbrush is showing signs of clogging, use the cutout to grab the retention nut and pull back on it, withdrawing the needle, and then release it, letting it snap back. This can sometimes resolve a spraying issue. I don't do it, and I'm not saying it's useful. I'm just saying I've been told that this is what some people use it for.
@AirbrushAsylum

You could also look at the revolution HP.BCR (suction) or CR (gravity) they are also great for heavy use . The reason for the difference in cat's pupils. Vertical pupils appear to maximize the ability of small animals to judge distances of prey. This is why domestic cats have vertical-slit pupils and their larger brethren, lions and tigers, have round pupils.

Hey buddy I need a professional opinion I’ve been seeing a new thing about getting spray paint and piercing the can and getting the paint out and they are saying you don’t even have to thin it it’s ready right out of the can ! But you know and I know we spent a lot of money on our airbrushes and micron and TAKUMI and I’m just worried about the O rings and the nozzles ? I mean will it be detrimental to a nozzle or O rings what do you think? Have you heard about this new hack ??
@AirbrushAsylum
@AirbrushAsylum 11 күн бұрын
Hey mate, thanks for your question and I have heard of it but haven't personally done it, I just prefer to buy 'airbrush ready' paints meaning either Trident or Createx (waterbased) or DNA, House of Kolor etc for urethane paints. The iwata's do have teflon seals so you are fine to run urethane based paints through your brushes, but that said I probably wouldn't use the aerosol paint in your micron, perhaps have a 'cheaper brush' that you can use to try it out. 😉
