Lifesaver, this! I usually manage to somewhat loosen the stuck trigger when cleaning the airbrush, but I always felt that that was never as good as when it was new. I’ve always been a bit afraid to fully disassemble the valve bit at the bottom of my airbrush. This helps a lot!

Good one. I use a quick squirt of silicone spray in the valve. Works EVERY time. No dismantling reqd.

I had that happen to mine after about 3 years. I ended up removing the o-ring that's in the trigger assembly (it's on top of the big brass piece you left in the airbrush). A little extra air escapes through the trigger now, but not much. However, the trigger pops up much fast after I let go and just feels more responsive. Not an ideal solution, but works well for me.

Do you advise using a VERY SMALL amount of vacuum grease on the "0" rings ( I come from a bench mechanic's background and was told to use it as it slightly swells the rubber )

I had a problem with a sticky trigger but it didn't turn out to be the valve. It turned out to be the o-ring the dangle bit on the trigger fits through. I cleaned it off as best as I could and used a toothpick to put through it and twisted it to clean off the contact point between the rubber and metal. Once put back together it worked much better. It's only a cheap airbrush but it works well enough for what I need it for.

My Iwata Airbrush Replacement Part I-715-1 Needle Chucking guide w/auxiliary lever is sticking after about 10-15 uses. The Auxiliary Lever stops coming forward and I have to take backend apart and reseat trigger and chuck guide. WHY do you think the Auxiliary Lever is not coming forward with trigger? Thanks

I’m glad you mentioned that. I’m about to tear my Paasche Talon apart to try and free up my stuck plunger. I contacted Paasche directly and they recommended using a tiny bit of Vaseline on the plunger. I’m curious why you recommend against that and what specific method you use to clean your rig?

Hi! It's not exactly the topic of the video, but I also have an issue with my H&S Ultra trigger. The thing is I have to pull the trigger a lot to get paint out of it. I cleaned the airbrush and nothing changed. What could this problem be? Thank you in advance.

Thanks for this video. I have rebuilt that trigger assembly with all new parts and seals. It still sticks. I put some gun oil in there and it doesn't stick for a job or two. Then it gets all gummy and sticks again. Pehaps this is just an Eclipse CS problem? I don't know. I just bought a different model airbrush, I give up.

Too late now, but you may be able to find someone with an ultrasonic cleaner. Disassemble the entire airbrush, determine what parts cannot go in the ultrasonic and then clean the rest, lube and reassemble. However, this is probably more work than it is worth.

I have a diffrent problem with my airbrush and it is frustrating. Whatever i do, i can smoothly pull the trigger back to allow more paint to flow, but i can never smoothly control the level of air that is put in while pressing down the trigger. It doesn't stick, it's just clunky. any tips on that? you would be a life saver.

I used to always use the iwata 'super lube' but stopped as Dru Blair mentioned that he found that over time it could cause clogging and also require you to continue to use it ie...your airbrush gets addicted to it, since then I stopped using it and to be honest if you keep your brush clean then you don't really need it.

You can just use a pair of tweezers. I didn't even know this tool existed (I'm sure it is slightly easier than tweezers).

I’ve cleaned out that part of the assembly multiple times and it still sticks like that. It also won’t push paint through and back bubbles. I’ve cleaned the entire gun and ensured there are no clogs. I’ve got no idea how to fix it 😭

l was always told NOT to use windex with amonia due to it causing the rubber gaskets deteriating.?

Not a problem when using as he does here. You might have a problem if you left it soaking in it for days but just using it like this to quickly clean the tool is perfectly fine

I came here because I just opened mine and it immediately had air coming out of it. The button does absolutely nothing and if I were to use it, well I'd have to turn it off any time I don't want to use it while actively painting. And the only paper I have is a single sheet with no real explanation on how to set it up other than basic assemble brush, put paint in, press button to turn on, press button to use, turn off.

Tweezers also work if they are small enough to fit in the gaps (nearly all of my hobby tweezers are). I didn't even realize this tool existed lol.

I hate trying to put the dangly thing back into the little hole. I am having issues with air coming out of the airbrush when the trigger isn't pressed. What is causing this? I've taken my airbrush apart many times, cleaned it and the air still continues to come out no matter what I do. Help!!

Do you still have the little rod that the spring fits over? If that rod isn't present or possibly in backwards, air will just freely flow through the airbrush. I somehow lost that rod while cleaning mine recently. didn't realize I had lost it (was slightly intoxicated when putting it back together and didn't think anything of just putting in the spring by itself. Easy way to check, if you unscrew any quick connects or hoses from the air connection point on the airbrush, you'll see a brass looking circular plate that will have two holes on the outside and one in the center. If that center hole is empty, the rod is missing and it is the thing that stops the air from flowing. If it is present, disassemble and make sure the o-ring on it is still intact and the rod is inserted the correct way (demonstrated in video). If the air still flows, it may be worth getting a replacement. I ordered a replacement for the one I lost for about $9 on Amazon.

Pull apart your plunger assembly (the section of your brush which connects to your air hose) carefully pull it apart and give it a clean and that should fix your issue 🤞🏻
