Proud to be Ethiopian! In fact, I was the would-be fighter pilot for my country Ethiopia, but ... (death to acrophobia, which hindered my vision). However, still, I have been a fan of the aviation world particularly of the military one !!

Many many years ago when I wanted to train as an airline pilot someone advised that Ethiopia has reputation for best pilot training in Africa. Unfortunately I couldn't afford it but this video suggests that my informant was right. Just brilliant. Their professionalism is based Standard Operational Procedures, SOP, followed worldwide. These SOPs are fine tuned from previous, unprofessional, (shoddy, overtired, hung over, drunk, drugged, inattentive, blazee) cockpit operations, that resulted in dozens of fatal crashes, with the loss of thousands of lives. You sure don't want to see that Crash series. Me? . A Rtd. Airline Check. Capt. and the Pilot Union Rep at air crash investigations).
