The A380 wind-shear system seems very over sensitive. I’m not aware of what the conditions at Manchester were, but I bet no one else flew a missed approach because of WS.

Wind shear affects heavy aircraft much more than lighter ones, because of their greater inertia.

I've flown A380s on Emirates and Thai without any go-arounds, whereas I've experienced 777-200/300 go-arounds on BA and KLM (which may have been due to reasons other than windshear), but I wouldn't claim that one aircraft is more susceptible to windshear-induced go-arounds than the other.

If you don't know what the prevailing climatic conditions were at Manchester, and if you don't have any evidence whether or not any other aircraft went around because of a windshear warning, then it seems a pretty pointless and silly comment to make, doesn't it? The aircraft landed smoothly and safely after a few minutes' delay and that's what matters.

The go around was pilot discretion, so many a captain would have just put the big bird down... Depends how risk averse they are I suppose. Nice butter on 2nd attempt...
