The Captain of the Southwest flight was a highly trained military pilot filling in for her husband who was also a highly trained military pilot. There is no doubt her professionalism was a result of her training. The controller seemed to be struggling with his emotions while she was confident and relaxed. She was confident in a compassionate way. I would board any flight she was commanding!

Good morning, congratulations to the two captains of both Qantas and Southwest airlines and they did well, because right away the Qantas captain saw what was happening. catching fire and then also notified the control tower, which is why It was a success. And for the Southwest commander the same thing, who is also to be congratulated, it was a job well done.
@theChickenstones6 ай бұрын
To add to the brief story here' the Qantas A-380 had myriad problems as well as the uncontained engine explosion that made it very difficult to fly and the computer fault warning system became overwhelming in its flow of faults. Plus the aircraft was very overweight.(Even the landing computations demonstrated the runway wasn't long enough to stop the aircraft in time) Though the Captain was somewhat criticised for losing his 'cool', the first officer kept a calm head and re-did the mathematics, they hand flew the landing and succeeded. It was a very close thing.
@RebuildingScotland5 ай бұрын
The second controller on the Southwest 1380 flight was perfect. He gave them any altitude, any speed, total discretion for whatever the pilot needed. Also when he asked a question and the pilot didn't immediately answer, he said 'doesn't matter'. He totally understood that they were busy in the cockpit and the answer to is question could wait. This should be played in training for ATC, showing that in such a situation, the crew will have better things to do than talk to you

For those people who don't know, this channel has been reposting previous posted videos for like half a year already, which they just post a video that connects two previous posted episode and instead of a brand new story is being made. About half a year ago, this channel almost post a brand new story every week, they still repost that time but just BARELY. And to be honest, I think these accidents included in any one of their connected (or reposted) video are not similar, which means they don't meant to be serious to make a connected video, instead they are just busy, so I hope you just went busy for half a year instead of considering give up this job. You have left your true fans many memories, and even used to be the best air crash simulation channel around 2020 according to me.😢

I wonder if the people who complain about this channel reuploading old videos have watched every single video on this channel? If so, it's time they checked out other channels as there are so many of them that cover same topic. To some this is a reupload, but to others this is something new.
@williamromine57156 ай бұрын
I am in the category of those who haven't seen the older videos. To me, these are all new videos. Because of the safety of airlines, there are a limited number of airline accidents to report on. If a person has seen all of the videos available on this channel, quit watching the channel. I am new to U-TUBE(I am 82 and didn't watch U-TUBE until I retired 4 years ago), and I have found some channels that I didn't like for some reason, and I just stopped watching them. Complaining about them doesn't make any sense. After all, they don't cost anything to watch them.

RR got a lot of flak over the Trent 900 uncontained failure & most of it was rubbish. Engines as with anything mechanical fail from time to time it`s unavoidable, new or old it doesn`t matter....it happens. While the engine manufacturers do all they can to design cowls to help contain debris, there are situations where it doesn`t work & it`s `in-the-lap-of-the-Gods` where that debris will end up. The Qantas episode was particularly unlucky as it effected pipework in the wing with bad consequences....very nasty true. But an Air France A380 fitted with EA GP7200 ( GE/P&W competitor engine to the T-900 ) had an uncontained engine failure where the large front fan & cowling sheared-of & missed the wing virtually completely which was hugely fortunate especially regarding the size of the failed parts & of course no flak given in comparison to the RR incident....very curious eh?!

I'll miss the old channel, which was really fun to watch over the past few years, and I'll miss the convenient subtitles that most others don't have, but I won't miss what TFC has become.
