Thanks a lot for your feedback. We need this! While I have noticed the volume is a bit low, it seems to be an individual issue. We are however working on upgrading the clip(s) to reflect awesome sound without distorting the quality.

Captain, How does Temp affect the Optimum Altitude?

As temperature affect the density of the air it has a direct impact on the performance of the engine. The optimum altitude is not the highest altitude we can reach, but the altitude where we cover the greatest distance per kg. fuel burned. That means if the air is colder, it is more dense, which in the engine allows for more power with the same amount of fuel used.... or more correctly stated; the same amount of power but with less fuel used. Remember that: Thrust = Mass x Acceleration. Mass is the amount of air and acceleration comes from adding fuel. So you can either add fuel OR add more air to get more thrust. Or you can add more air (denser/colder air) with less fuel to maintain thrust. We want optimum altitude to be as high as possible but are restricted by the mass of the aircraft. The heavier the aircraft, the more power is required. Comparing a cold airmass and a warm airmass, the colder air mass provides more thrust for the engines hence slightly higher Optimum Altitude. But remember that Optimum altitude is main affected by aircraft weight. Temperature and density plays a small role.
