this is what I was looking for. I will be doing slip form pouring between my poles in my pole barn house construction. that makes it very easy. what is the deepest I would want to pour at one time. you should 12 inches but could I go with 24 or 36 inches. In your round house in place pouring it looks like it is at least 36 inches. looking forward to a reply.
@TinyGiantLifeStyle3 жыл бұрын
The deeper you pour aircreet in one go the more likely it is to deflate. 12 in is pretty much ideal.
@kusnezoff87053 жыл бұрын
@@TinyGiantLifeStyle yeah that makes perfect sense especially if I am using more foam instead of 50 I will be using 100 which will give much more insulative value and stretch the concrete a lot further. since the posts are holding the roof us I don''t need such density and the benefit will really help with keeping the building cool in the Philippines and the noise of the neighbours roosters that crow all night from keeping me up.LOL. thanks for the replies. I really appreciate it.

AirCrete is structure and insulation. The large value is in a non toxic rodent proof house that's not going to mold or catch 🔥 fire.

Can one apply Aircrete in a gunite/shotcrete manner by spraying it on the walls
@TinyGiantLifeStyle4 жыл бұрын
As a finish coat. Spraying AirCrete collapses the bubbles in it and takes away the insulation value.

I humbly apologize in advance for this being so long, I just wanted to reach out and show my appreciation in all you're doing. I hope you find it satisfactory. First Off, I really love what your doing here.. I have traveled to many places around the world over the years and have seen how life can be different and better from what most people here "sadly" believe to be the Norm.. I worked with a monastery in Southern California back in the late 90s and early 2000s building earth-bag domes for the church. I totally understand the freedom you feel doing Aircrete, as building those domes was one of the most satisfying things I have ever done..Even tho moving all that dirt was extremely hard work. I also had a business in the Decorative Concrete Industry for Several Years, after building the domes for the church during the Early/Late 2000s, and learned Many hard lessons along the way because making people understand what decorative concrete was back then, was no easy feat but continued to keep growing my passion, creativity and experience in the industry. Just as I thought things would get easier, I too was blindsided and knocked down by life which brought on many other struggles along the way.. My Apologies, Not meaning to dump my life story on you here..Just sharing a little past experience, as it kinda resonates a bit. I have pretty much watched and followed your channel since you started.. and having done other types of alternative building, as well, have to agree.. I also think that Aircrete is the way to go, for Many reasons.. I have to say that I love what your doing and how your sharing your knowledge with others. Yes, the times they are a changing for sure.. and I believe that the direction you are going is Definitely helping everyone that wants to actually wake up and smell the flowers.. I stepped away from building domes and alternative building several years ago, but it has ALWAYS remained apart of WHO I AM on the inside.. although I still talk about and share my experiences with others and continue to research and follow in learning and growing my knowledge as much as I can about having and building a simpler and alternative lifestyle, I keep hearing a voice inside telling me that I should be doing more to help others. I love ALL the principles that allows us in having an alternative/simpler life. You are definitely nailing it, my friend. Especially in how you are being so diverse in what you are teaching and sharing with others. "The Complete Package"...Not just "The Shell" I have been on the fence about getting back into doing Alternative Building and also sharing what I know with others, as well... But have pretty much come to the conclusion that it is something that I NEED to start doing again, for Myself...as well as for others.. and seeing teachers such as yourself, along with a few others out there who are reaching out to help educate others in the world any way they can on how they can absolutely have a better life by making just a few changes in how they do things, is TOTALLY Possible, regardless of how much money you make !!! As much as I would Love too, I am not able to get away to attend a workshop...but I do plan on ordering your course, to not only support what you are doing, but to help add to my own learning and education library. I have 10 acres in New Mexico and have already cleared a spot for my 1st project.. just need to get a few more things in place before I'm able to start it.. I know once I start seeing it come together, it's going to give me the "kick in the pants", that I've been needing.. Daniel, I want to Thank You, My Friend.. for all your doing to help inspire and educating others.. Although it may not be soon, I DO look forward to meeting you and possibly doing some Brainstorming in the future. God Bless.

Hey Daniel, Could you comment on how you would get such a home approved by the city or whoever? I own 10 acres and am planning on building an aircrete home. Is there a tax hit for having such a home?
@Vytor014 жыл бұрын
You will always pay taxes on the materials used in the homes construction. The actual property taxes will be hard for a tax assessor to figure out as there will more than likely not be any houses like yours to price against. What they will probably do will be to compare its sq. footage to houses in your area and tax you on that. Where I am from, we had a homestead exemption based on the 1st 75000, no taxes but had to pay taxes on anything above that IIRC. You could save all the receipts and show them the actual value of those receipts and then go from there. But, as far as having a home built out of Aircrete, I would say no additional hit as far as that.
@TinyGiantLifeStyle4 жыл бұрын
Building in the city most often requires " work-arounds". I don't discuss those here. AirCrete a home made version of cellular cement is an alternative Building system. Not acceptable by the "public.". Tax/theft agencies tax dog houses so yes, most likely you would be taxed. Of course if it was a non approved building materials that can not get bank loans then it is unlikely to appraise for much. There is a way to deal with these communist on a legal level. However, that requires learning how to do it yourself because and officer of the court bar attorney can not represent anything outside the establishment.
