At about 6:55 you say that a little overfill on the second 5-quart bucket of foam will bring the total to 2.1 gallons of foam. 5 quarts is 1.25 gallons, so you're really looking at 2.6 gallons of foam. (Depending on your application, that 25% difference could mean a lot.)

@docthebiker6 жыл бұрын
Harry could I suggest dumping the mixer and folding the foam in by hand (at least at the very last)? Only you still draw in a lot of excess air every time you break the surface with a fast power mixer. What you do is great and very instructive (it's why I clicked the bell), but you're still plagued by big bubbles weakening your final results. I think if you tried really avoiding bubbles you'd get a great mix, because the results look perfect if you don't include those cavities.

I would like a mix to pour down through the voids of an existing block wall. So I guess I would want a mix that was lean on cement because I'm looking for a concrete that is going to be light to maximize its insulation property. However, if I make it too light, that would seem to reduce the likelihood that it would be liquid enough to pour down to the bottom course of blocks. Any insights? Thanks.

What about a Air pump tubing put into the sides and bottom of the bucket, to force air, while the lid is on, and there could be a hole in the lid, to slide the drill piece into, before attaching to the drill. This way, much more air bubble are being forced into the mixture. Also, the soap, stay away from dawn, it has degreasers. It's better to use a plant based soap like Seventh Generation with out any degreasers in the formula. The Concrete, try using Fiver reinforced Concrete by Quickcrete, to make the concrete less brittle by adding tension from the fibers. Water, try using distilled water, free of contamination or minerals. The drill bit, could also have additional paddles welded onto the stem to force more air into it, while drilling clockwise. InshaALLAH brother, hope this helps.

You will not be able to make a good quality FC this way. Use a Protein based foam concentrate, forget the soapy foam!! Reduce water cement ratio by using a super plasiciser. U can make your protein foam concentrate yourself if you have no supplier for this. Buy a bag of dried blood=an organic fertilizer ( slaughterhouse by-produkt) Make a 2,5% lye solution and heat to 70 degree C. Stirr in the dried blood and agitate constantly. Untill the blood is dissolved. Repeat until the lye is saturated. Let cool down. Filter the brown liquid through a cloth. Optional: ad some ethylen glycol for winterisation and preservative against decay and rotting. Now you made the best foaming agent ever! Harmless to the environment. If you make your FC from 50-50 cement and lime, you will reach high compressive strength and better elasticity modulus. Of course you can ad sand to increase strength even more but than insulation value decreases Regards Bert españa
