I appreciate the theory and testing! A competitor's video shows using "drexel" foam vs "shampoo" vs "hand soap". The hand soap collapsed fairly quickly, while the much less expensive shampoo foamed very nicely and lasted nealry as long as the more expensive drexel! Thank you for you good wook and sharing!

Here is something you may want to experiment with Harry. There is a product call deck patch which is used to fill cracks in a deck before a vinyl cover is applied. It looks like portland before and after mixed but after dried it is like a polymer wood filler which is likley what it is. Dont think it would be fire resistant but could be resiliant for paving stones.

Hey Harry, I see lots of creative possibilities with aircrete, for instance, a tiny home with an exterior of broken pieces of ceramic plates artfully arranged over the aircrete. Or aircrete bird houses, painted or mosaiced. Thanks for the vids. Great inspiration...John Rabeler

I think it would be really easy to build a geodesic dome home. (ziptiedomes.com) www.domegaia.com/ Use a PVC geodesic dome for the supporting structure but cover it with some covering the concrete won't adhere to. Spray Aircrete all over the dome and let it cure. Then dissassemble the PVC geodesic dome from the inside, reassemble and use it for a chicken coop or green house later.

have you ever tried to cover the freshly made aircrete, eg in food wrape or spay with more foam on top, or something, just try to get the best/lightest aircrete for insulation purposes only with no collapse, but i suspect its most probably got to be the foaming agent you need to use, nice thick micro stable foam.

Thanks for your videos Harry, you really make me want to go out and build with it. I have a question and a few thoughts to add though Do you know if pressure washers with the foaming setting will work well to create a quality foam for this? Also I have built some homes from straw bales and they have natural plaster walls. They use cattail (swamp hot dogs) as the fibre for their plasters. I think it would be a great fibre to add to aircrete ( when you rub the cattails they spread out into millions of tiny fibres) Also I think aircrete would make a great base for underneath a concrete floor. It would be far cheaper then styrofoam. Just pour 2-4" of aircrew first and then top it up with 2" of regular concrete for added strength. Aircrete walls could be poured and then plastered over later for a finer finish, refractory aircrete mixes for building a fireplace The domes look great but I'm not such a fan of all the work that goes into all the curves personally. I want to get this going more into traditional construction. Mixing foamy bubbles is a lot easier on the back then shovelling all that gravel and sand! You are onto something here Harry!

I am reviewing your aircrete videos because im getting ready to try making some shipping container exterior insulation paneling. I'm thinking of putting some hog wire panels inside the aircrete for strength on the sides. do you think its nessasary or what is your exerience setting steel mesh in aircrete. i wonder if i could substitute the hogwire for a less expensive or recycled material like plastic mesh fencing type of material. any ideas? Thank you for your diligent research and documentation of aircrete Harry.

Hi Harry, Great video's. I have been watching Darwin on Honey do Carpenter and he has built many Aircrete projects and has determined after much testing that Suave Shampoo makes the best foam and holds up longer than all the others. Do a video using it . I think you'll be suprised. He builds rocket stoves and also incorporated water glass to coat the cement and it is totally heat proof. The aircrete alone is heat resistant but when he lined the flu with water glass it would withstand 3000 - 4000 degrees. Thanks.

Concrete doesn't really dry. The water stays in it and is what holds it together. If you cook it in an oven at over 212f it will turn back into the powder.

Harry, you’re measuring your foam wrong! Nobody caught, even you! You say two gallons of foam in the videos, but your bucket clearly says 5 QUARTS!!! Unless we’re talking Imperial measurements (Canada) here you’re putting a half-gallon more foam in the mix every time! That’s a lot if the ratio is important, which I think not, however if structurally important, it would be critical. This isn’t the case with the product. OTHERWISE well produced. Dyslexic people pick up on nuances and details like this. We couldn’t make a video like yours, but we can tear up one looking for errors! I make a hell of a proofreader as well! Going to use aircrete as a binding agent with chopped straw in a 18-20” in-filled wall post and beam cabin I’m building.
