@@hansdevries9741 For AI copyright clearance It's not about is your image identical or not. The AI itself have to have clearance to "learn" from someone's images or data. For example NY Times are suing Google for their ChatGPT because it was probably trained using NY Times articles published on the net. While ChatGPT does not reply with exact copy of the article the owner of the published data has the copyright ownership and can decide does his data be part of AI learning process or not. It's all about money.

Ai assisting a render engine, in terms of visual fidelity, detialing or speed is the way forward. AI as the render engine is always going to just be annoying when it comes to a client saying "remove that bit there" and the whole fucking scene renders differently.

You can already in 2024 have AI just very well change the render of a specific area and not the whole thing. So that's not true.

@@adelacelle it is true, you don't have absolute control over results. If you show a client a red ball in a shade then they ask to move the red ball, you do so but now it's a basketball which is red or it's another shade or anything a client will be annoyed or confused by this change. They you'll need to go back in to Photoshop, edit the visual manually, and completely undermine your render engine. That's just a ball. Now imagine they want a slightly different angle of a room.

This can all be done right now for free with comfyui and stable diffusion workflows. Having it all packaged up will lower the barrier for entry for sure though!

Merk - idea.... Make a 16 camera sphere. All cameras pointing at the target object. AI render all 16 frames in one image in a 4x4 grid so all the image match. Use image projection to texture the model. Like photogrammetry but in reverse.

I've been self-employed since 2008 and work for large international companies. I see it the same way you do. The first thing I asked on Instagram was: Is it convertible, can you edit the objects, shaders, UVs, lighting etc.? Apart from the fact that I'm generally skeptical. I suspect it's tapping into some AI engine in the background. So it just converts the text information and then sends it to some opensource AI render engine to get a finished image or the render information for the local GPUs. This is also the problem for commercial projects, which are always confidential and unreleased products are used to be built in different SKUs. It's a good way towards a "nice render button", but if you can't manipulate the images themselves and reuse elements, it's useless for PROs. There are certainly possible applications for this. But as a real artist, I need to have access to the render settings, shaders, textures, tags, light sources, everything. So it's for newcomers and brings a lot of new 3D artists to Fiverr. I'm looking forward to the job candidates we get in a few years who want a real job and have only worked with AI. 😂❤

Amazing (and slightly scary what AI can achieve)! However at 1:13 it says "a true reflection of the users vision" however comparing the two sides there are a number of differences in the render - square base instead of circular, angular edges to the slice instead of rounded etc. While the result looks incredible, will it possible to have more precise control over what the AI changes? In other words so it acts more like a material applicator rather than changing the geometry and scene too much?

it can do one to one pixel perfect copy of the original geometry and apply the ai visuals on it, but it won't look realistic since there are no perfect edges in real life. I derebeletely used maximum settings for converting viewport visual into AI image but user can choose how much the Ai will affect the original geometry.

I wouldnt mind if it changed the geometry slightly for the sake of realism, but I imagine it could get frustrating if it altered things too much and changed your vision of the scene e.g. you wanted rounded corners and it converts the angular ones as in the example. So hopefully this will be easy to control! Look forward to seeing the final plugin.

Why do you think so? Ai can't replace 3D artists if the 3D artist will utilize its capabilities in their 3D software of choice. Ordinary people do not have an appropriate education to give Ai decent instructions. We know all the necessary terminology for this. It's also much easier to manipulate scene objects with 3D tools than by describing each detail via prompting. There are lots of 3D visual effect that don't even have a name and can't be described by the words. Such effects can only be created by 3D artists and Ai will come in handy to add a layer of realism to it. So don't worry, Ai won't replace us 😁

Nitroman has an AI plugin, but it's hard to use, and the user has to manually install many files for it. And also, it's not directly integrated into c4d and opens in a separate window.

There are several ways. The plugin is capable of reading object names and color information as well as their material properties. Sometimes AI ignores this data but I'm trying to solve this problem.
