Airfix 1/72 Messerschmitt Bf109E Time Lapse (5 hour build in 7 minutes!)

Airfix 1:72 Messerschmitt Bf109E-3 (AKA ME109) scale model kit. Complete build video in time lapse format. This scale model aircraft kit was purchased from Aldi in the UK for £4.99. The box includes everything needed (other than a crafting knife) to complete the build. The only extras I used for the build were modelling putty and sandpaper to cover the seam lines, Humbrol Decal Fix for the decals and Humbrol rust wash to add some detail to the weathering. There are a number of other wwII era aircraft kits available for this price. I'd definitely recommend them - despite the low cost the finished model looks surprisingly good. Great value for money!

Amazing work, end result looks like its seen some combat. This is how model kits must have looked like before everyone had a thousand dollars' worth of painting equipment. I'm gonna give this a try!

Thank you! I was really surprised and impressed how well this turned out actually. I've definitely done much worse using an airbrush. You should give these kits a go for sure!

@@stephenogden5470 Good spot. I think I'm right in saying Airfix haven't produced swastika decals for many decades now. I'm sure there are aftermarket options available for those looking for greater detail/accuracy
