In late 1979 the legendary aerobatic team, The Red Arrows retired its fleet of Folland Gant T.1 aircraft. The reliable jet trainer that had been flown by the Red Arrows. Since the formation of the aerobatic team in 1964. Its replacement the BAE Hawk T.1 much like its predecessor would continue to amaze audiences around the world.
For almost 45 years the BAE Hawk continues to be flown by the Red Arrows. And it is fitting that Airfix has made a 1/72 scale starter set of The Red Arrows BAE Hawk T.1. Or to be more specific as a part of the Best Of British Starter Set. Which came with the of the Airfix Supermarine Spitfire Mk.Vc Starter Set.
However, all of the include Humbrol paint pots in this starter set were bone dry. So instead, I used my stock pile of Vallejo Acrylic model paints as a replacement. Even with this minor setback, I was still able to make a nice model out of the kit.
In the second part of this two-part build video. Join me as I make the Airfix Red Arrows BAE Hawk Starter Set. The first part of the video covers the build of the Supermarine Spitfire Mk.Vc Starter Set. Which you can also view on the channel. Until next time good luck with all your ongoing scale modelling projects. And as always thank you for watching this video.
