Tom Grigat is undoubtedly one of the best modellers on KZbin. Such great videos. Would love to see more of this from Airfix.

Wow! Great build and even better video, well done Airfix. Now let's see plenty more of these in 2016 please. Merry Christmas to all the modellers out there and a very Happy New Year too.

These are super awesome kits! When I was a young kid I bought all these including this FOkker. I dont know why exactly but these are really fun kits to put together. Maybe because they are so simple and they remind me of the little vintage plastic toys you could buy but the amount of detail they put into these little kits is really good!

Very nice, brought back memories when I was a child. I was very much into building models mostly 1:72 scale. Most of my childhood glueing painting loved it. I might get back into it, thanks for your great video, really enjoyed it look forward to more.

I'm fascinated that even in the official manufacturers video you don't make the kit straight from the box but have to add scratch built extras. Surely you should be showing off how good the kit is, and not pointing out bits that don't quite come up to scratch. The kit looks fine to me by the way.

Christian Fairhurst same as buying your own paints and brushes...

Agreed however I think we can all say that this looks very well done and professional. They may use other paints for marketing reasons and also I don’t think the kit comes W/ paint soooooo.

Why doesnt airfix photo etched parts? It would surely make their model quality better.

@TomGrigat8 жыл бұрын

What did you use for the rib lines on the wings? Could you do the new P-40 1/48
@TomGrigat8 жыл бұрын
I used a soft pencil for it and blended it with my fingertips.

What sense has mounting rifle behind rotor??? Pilot was shooting own plane???
@FirstDagger8 жыл бұрын
You should read up on the Fokker Scourge, these planes were the first to use an interrupter to only allow the MG to shoot when no prop blade was in-front of it. Result was a period where the Luftstreitkräfte did not only have air-superiority but even air supremacy until new French and British designs appeared. The problem with mounting MGs not inline with the planes is that the guns have to converge to the target. Heck there were even designs with bullet deflectors on the prop blades.

this is great! rigging just poped itself from nowhere? the most dificult thing about great war aircraft model making? just pooof,and it is there?
