Airfix Ju 87 B-1, Stuka build in 1/72

Join me as we build Airfix's 1/72 scale Ju 87 B-1 Stuka.
I added a ground crew kit from Zedva and pilots from Hasewaga to complete the diorama of the bomber being re-armed on an unimproved runway some where in Poland, 1939.
I also give voice to more frustrations with Airfix's kit design choices.

Nice diorama idea! The build comments are much appreciated as I have this kit in my stash. I've built a couple of the new tool Airfix kits recently and I hear what you say about fit and engineering issues. I also had a similar decal problem as you did on the Airfix Hurricane Mk1.

Glad I could help! Like I said, I've got 3 or 4 Airfix kits left in the stash and when they are done, I'm done, unless I want to build a subject no one else has or is 50+ years old! Also, I'm glad to hear that it's just not me that has issues with their decals, I felt really stupid when building this kit. Good luck!

Does it come with paint? And if not what colours?

Hey there, sorry, no the kit does not come with paint. I used Vallejo paints from their Air Series through my airbrush. RLM 66 for the interior, RLM 76 under color and a combination of RLM 74/75 in a splinter camouflage combination.

Thank you! I’m not as hardcore as some other airfixers, so I don’t have an airbrush. But I’ll look into the paints, and thanks again!
