hey I'm 16 & im on a process of preparing myself becoming a pilot so i won't be confused what to do right after i graduated school. first you have to choose your university/college that has aeronautical engineering/aerospace engineering course ( you should plan early where to go so u don't get confused & in a hurry at the future). then, you study for 2-4 years at the college/uni you have chosen, it depends on your country for how long the process will take but not more than 6 yrs def usually it would take 4. after you finished college/uni you will acquire the aeronautical engineering bachelor's degree( it's a requirement to work for airlines) and they will test your capabilities as a pilot in a specific field. maximum 4 months. and you're finally ready to go! captain!!

Often the people playing flight sims do so because they are no longer able (for whatever reason) to fly IRL. I mean, if you're too sick or physically unable or can't afford to fly much, I'd imagine this is a lot of fun. Or can be. :) I've heard similar things regarding WW2 flight sim games. A bunch of pilots get together online and play something like that/this except everyone on the server role-plays the whole time. I guess that's probably true of a lot of sims though. I mean, I like playing RPGs as a necromancer since that's what I used to do IRL. Seriously though, I think it's more popular in flight sims as opposed to something like Surgeon Simulator. At least, I hope so. I don't know how I feel about my surgeon practicing major, emergency surgery using Surgeon Simulator.

I wish I could get as into something like this as they do; whether videos games or anything else. I'd love to try a military sim with people who treat it like that. Of course, just learning the lingo probably takes a little while. For now, I'm settling on pretending to be a "cowboy outlaw." But it gets weird when anyone walks into the room while I'm talking to myself.
