how good do they look kerry, you have a winner there , doing them with all the different meat put me of from from making them ,but just using the minced pork is so easy , havent made hot water crust pastry before but really want to have a go now. you inspire people kerry, so dont doubt yourself , everything you make might not be exactly howyou want it to look like ,but goodness me they do look so edible. carry on doing what your doing kerry ,we all appreciate it .

Well done Kerry ! First time and you did it live on air ….very brave of you! I have only had my ninja dual zone since December but I do find I usually have to lower the time and temperature they suggest , especially in the right hand drawer ..it is hotter! I am getting used to it now . Hope you had a lovely time with your dad, I’m sure he was mightily impressed with his birthday pie ! Thank you for this demo , I think I will have to make one for my husband , whenever he comes to the supermarket with me ( thankfully not too often!) he always hankers for one . ❤

Wow!! Great job kerry!! Look great n I bet taste lovely..yum..I love that you do recipes outside yr comfort zone. Good on ya gal! I made hot cross buns.tasted great but didnt rise enough ..I cant knead dough enough cos my hands get sore..but Suz n my sister in law liked them ... lightly toasted n slavered with butter...there is little that cant be fixed with a liberal coating of butter!! Happy birthday to your Dad !!! Much love xxx

You can use your electric mixer with the dough hook for kneading bread, I have to use it all the time and it does a great job.
@melrob57 ай бұрын
@janetpendlebury6808 I have tried to use dough hooks...I'm afraid my wee mixer isn't up to task..it gets really hot ...I usually make "no knead " bread. Sadly, a rheumatoid illness has made it impossible to knead by hand. Thanks for the comment!

Just discovered your channel and immediately subscribed. I love the way you keep all the little mistakes in as it can only give confidence to new users. I've just finished watching your bargain veg box vlogs and one thing I used to do with roasted veg was to blitz it then add some passata or a tin of tomatoes and use it as a base for pasta sauce or Bolognese. My son who was veg phobic never knew what was in there.😃 A good way of hiding it! Thank you for helping me use my new air fryer! x

They look brilliant, well done you. I am going to try this in my Cosori. If you do put jelly in, a tip from a friend of mine is to take the pie out wrap it in cling film before you pour the jelly in. It stops it seeping out. I tried this last Christmas and it worked really well.

Good morning Kerry, oh Colin and Harrison love pork pies so I really need to try making these, I wonder if there is a way i could make these for me to sample 🙄🙏🤣. Those look fantastic, Kerry. I bet your dad loved his & hope he had a wonderful birthday. What a great change from a cake. The time lapse is great. I dont think there is any need to egg wash the sides as actual pork pies dont have the sides egg washed, i think the natural colour of the cooked pastry is perfect. Well done, Kerry, my mouth is watering watching you eating that, lol, especially with the pickle 😋 . Job well done. Xxxxx 💚💚

The word you're looking for is "malleable" pronounced maleeabel. :) I think a good name for the thing you'd use for forming the pie would be a podger. Happy birthday to your dad. The pies look awesome.

Very brave of you to do. Those aren't easy at all. They looked amazing and I can see they tasted really good. Cracking job (and that's from someone with Leicestershire blood running through them! ) I think they looked fantastic.
@Dragonlord666x37 ай бұрын
you could possibly also form the bases from upturned muffin or Yorkshire pudding tins. not having the jelly would be good for some who like pork pies but not the jelly in them
@Dragonlord666x37 ай бұрын
Something else just thought of you could use, ramekins (or as in my case, cleaned out tuna tins) they could form the pie shapes but you might need to grease them with butter/lard to get the uncooked pies out OR, to make smaller, individual, pie you could just cut a 12cm (5in) diameter circle out and form that around the bottom of the jar with the dough rolled out to about 1/8 (3mm thickness) the lid would be about 6cm (2 1/2 inches)
@misolgit697 ай бұрын

@@budgetcookinguk From malleus - Latin for 'hammer'. Also: The middle ear has three tiny bones in it, including: Hammer, called the malleus - attached to the eardrum. Anvil, called the incus - in the middle of the chain of bones. Stirrup, called the stapes - attached to the membrane-covered opening that connects the middle ear with the inner ear, called the oval window.
