I tried this the other night, great results, cake was very nice indeed. I have the dual Cosori so all I did was turn the cake over at the end of the cooking time, take the paper off and cook for another few minutes or until the bottom is cooked!

Kerry, sorry to digress from present appetizing meal, but I need help ! I bought a medium sized frozen pizza however, my Cosori air fryer is the small one and wondering whether to slice the frozen pizza and add a bit of oil and extra cheese then place it in the lift but it the base ? I know, rather useless at gadgets....manage with chips, nuggets and onion rings but that's it ! Thank you in advance.

Hi Kerry, I love how you keep everything so real, too many YT's only put up what they want people to see. You show us that we can make mistakes, and how to sort it out! I get excited to see your videos pop up in my feed. Thanks for everything. 👍💖

Was it Peter Kay who said 'That's a Taste Sensation'?? That looks amazing and already thinking ahead - Adding maybe chicken and veg?? One pot meal!! 😂 One tip found from experience!!!! NEVER mix Yorkshire pudding batter with an electric whisk!!! I used to think I was adding air to improve, sadly very mistaken. Gentle whisk by hand, leave as long as you can but at least an hour, gentle stir and you'll be amazed at the rise!! I can't even cook them in my smaller Ninja dual anymore as they rise and hit the element. 😅 Good issue to have I suppose! 😊 Yorkshire's are a great base to play with herbs for different mains. Chives, garlic and rosemary, chilli flakes. . . . I've got my eye on that Grand in the giveaway as well!🧐😉 Many thanks for all the different recipe ideas. 😊

Brilliant tip re york puds thank you Mark, I'll definitely try that next time - have screenshot your fab comment for future reference. 😀👍💕 ps I love chives in the batter!

@budgetcookinguk Haha, no problem. I only commented as a decent Yorkshire used to be my nemesis!! Should have added; beat the eggs and the milk, then pour into the flour, with a pinch of salt, and more stir in than beat with a balloon whisk by hand. Don't even try to get all lumps out, you'll get those with the second gentle stir with the whisk before cooking. I hope you see the same difference it makes! 🤞🏻

Hi Kerry, Don’t feel too badly about the price of a pound of butter. We pay $9.99 Canadian! About £5.50. Our dairy products are a horrendous price! I’d love to see this recipe done in the Ninja! 😋😊
@budgetcookingukКүн бұрын
Wow Judith that is absolutely shocking, how do people on average to low incomes afford it?! I guess they just don't buy it. Do you have a Lidl equivalent?
@judith4985Күн бұрын
There is Costco in Regina, Saskatchewan but that’s a 2 1/2 hour drive from us. Superstore is closer but their prices have gone way up. Giant Tiger is a smaller bargain-type store. We don’t have much close to me. We live in a small town. Two grocery stores with high prices. More low to middle income people are using food banks! It’s terrible in Canada. Canada’s biggest city, Toronto, has over one million people using food banks! Seniors, like us, really have to watch our spending.

Kerry, my beloved late Mum made the best Toad in the Hole and all other meals that I will never be able to emulate. I shall try this yummy Toad in the Hole (minus stuffing which I do not like). It will be the first one since Mum went to Heaven. Unfortunately my Cosori is small so not sure if results. Kind regards from Cheshire.

Kerry this looks great as I have the same Cosori air fryer ( bought at the same reduced price a while ago !) but I can’t understand why you didn’t cook the sausages, onion and stuffing together, although the stuffing wouldn’t take as long ? Also, the batter usually needs to go into piping hot oil ? I’ll try this tho when I get to take the Cosori out of its box !

Kerry your Christmas toad in the hole looked absolutely delicious we have never tired Yorkshire puddings done in the air fryer l loved the way you put everything into the air fryer l am thinking of doing bread that way l tend to use a cake tin inside the draw, we will try doing toad in the hole straight in the air fryer did you drain the fat off first before putting in your Yorkshire pudding mixture l bet your Christmas toad in the hole tasted absolutely delicious 😊

Thanks for the video, I've still not got around to making toad in the hole, so I'll have a go at this. I get my butter from Iceland online which is three blocks for £5, It's nice butter too.
@baccibee1Күн бұрын
Hi Kerry , great video ! The good thing is you can adjust the quantities and leave out the ingredients you don’t like and it will still be tasty. I know what you mean about the butter , I saw £2 last week and thought oh dear , but yesterday it had gone down to £1.89 . Also I went across to M and S food hall( sometimes their prices pleasantly surprise you) and the butter there was less than £2 so I don’t know what was going on at Lidl. Hope your family enjoyed their supper ! ❤️ Ruth

That looks fantastic Kerry, 🎉 all those lovely flavours mingling together and it would be a very substantial Christmas meal for anyone on a tight budget. I know someone who would rather have that than turkey 🤗 I regularly cook my Yorkshire pudding in my twin drawer I’ve used different types of container but straight into the drawer seems to work the best but I’ve found I have to flip it for the last 5mins. Sometimes it rises and sometimes it’s a puddingy texture like yours but all elible. This is a great mid week meal with veg and lashings of gravy.
