I'm a retired Game Ranger, so essentially more accustomed to the use of centrefire rifles used throughout my 45 years in the bush. However, I am new to airguns and enjoying it. My first was an HW 100 in .20 cal. A superb rifle in every respect. Up to 60m it was right up with FX guns' accuracy shot side by side. I then moved on to an FX Crown in .22 cal. This gun extended my range and power, and truth be told is ergonomically the finest air gun I've ever held in my hand, but it had its limitations. So very reluctantly I traded it in and acquired an M3. I promptly fitted a slug power kit but retained standard superior liner. With this gun, given my basic tuning skills and using 66 year old eyes, I am able to group well under an inch at 100m. ( best 15mm) My best is 22mm at 140m. Ammo used was H&N ( arguably the finest mass produced slugs on the market) I tested a range of them and found .218 30gr at 985 fps the best. Then By, by simply dialing down I was able to shoot 18.13 JSB at 930 fps and although not perfectly set up for pellers was still able to shoot one to one and a quarter inch groups at 100m. A friend I shoot with, who is an air gunsmith by profession, shot a 12.5mm group at 100m with an M2. using 18.13 JSB pellets. I witnessed this, and numerous other similar feats with a couple of FX guns he was setting up for clients.... Bottom line, yes, FX may have issues, nothing is perfect, but it is certainly not in the accuracy department. So I support my fellow South African countryman Matt Dubber on his claims. And applaud him for his innovation in air gun tech advancement. I simply have to give credit where credit is due.

I think these guys know how to tune guns and understand how to dial accuracy. That is all. Everyone has days they nail it. Some days you don’t. I have seen many fx guys in very real competition putting it right in the 10 circle over and over. They win a lot. Is it pro shooters or good guns I think both. I own fx and they are awesome. Do I love it more than my avengers. That is a hard debate for many reasons the biggest being the price point. Is it more versatile than the avenger? Yes it is. What about quality. Both are solid. Can they be improved? It’s a obvious yes but you should understand what you get from each one. They both perform well out of box but need refinement to achieve extreme accuracy like you assume should be standard. It’s not. Every shooter has preferences and individual style that effects how the tool is used. You sound frustrated that people might choose a expensive choice that has broad support for aftermarket products and parts to achieve that kind of extreme accuracy you point out here. I bet most entry level shooters typically eye something less expensive than a fx product to get started. If a newbie chooses a fx for a first gun they probably will enjoy the features and customization available. Avenger fans have to work harder to customize their guns as I have and it’s definitely harder to share the exact parameters used for that extreme success you are referring to. I don’t doubt Matt shot those groups with those guns and slugs at that range. It’s his livelihood to do so. Just because a pro shooter can do it surely doesn’t mean the average shooter can duplicate his results it just means it’s possible and he proved it. Most understand that. All these companies just sell the tool it’s up to you to learn how to use it effectively. Some people like Ernest Roe understand and tune the guns for those who don’t understand applied physics but want that pin point accuracy. Fx can do it just like avengers or Texans or vixens or hastans or hubens ect ect. It’s what you know. Just a change in temperature can wreck those groups. A thousandth of a inch too tight or loose can make the difference. You know this. Everything matters in extreme accuracy. The hold the cheek placement the trigger pull the tools consistency the atmospheric pressure the humidity it all plays a part and some have a gift for reading it. If you think showing what can be done is misrepresenting a product I am not sure I agree. I think tools in professional hands are often better than the average individual. I can make a basket or two up close with the same basket ball as Larry bird but he will smoke me out at the three point line. Does that mean that him selling a basket ball or a shoe after showing him hit three in a row due to his skill is misrepresenting the tool. Kinda debatable. Might be a bit much as the majority of the population understand how advertising works. Popular winners sell stuff. If they want to remain popular and relevant they sell good stuff.

That’s not true some days you have it some days you don’t that’s not true if you have a good gun every day you have it. Now your skills might be off for a day but your gun should be always perfect. Which leads me to a funny comment that FX shooters make my Gun needs to settle In .

This is the video location you pulled your snippet from: kzbin.info/www/bejne/in2uZp1oqteCgJI 40 meter indoor test range produced the small groups on unmarked off-white paper: kzbin.info/www/bejne/in2uZp1oqteCgJI "Sub MOA at 100" simply means less than an inch at 100 yards. Not quarter inch: kzbin.info/www/bejne/in2uZp1oqteCgJI If you think that I am a full on Dubber fan-boy, he banned me from posting on his travel channel, because I criticized one of his videos . Even though Dubber pissed me off for banning me from that channel, I can't find any evidence to support your claims that he lied about group size. I think you have conflated "sub MOA", with 1/4" at 100 yards, when that was never claimed. One MOA does not mean "one inch". It is an angle; so 1 MOA is just over 2" at 200 yards; and just over 1/2" at 50 yards, etc. That 1/4" group you showed in your video was shot in the FX Factory at their 40 meter indoor range. That would probably shoot about 3/4" at 100 yards; which is sub-MOA.

Indoor range VS your outdoor range. Also, the FX range is 40 meters. Not 100. I think I hear "3/4 inch at 50 yards"; then the groups shrink to "one hole" after some hardware change. If you re going to quote Matt speaking about groups at a specific range, let us see the whole quote. All we see is groups shrinking at their test range. I don't hear him say 100 yards or 100 meters.

As for the group SIZE in inches at 50 yards being larger than the group size at 100 yards, that sounds rather unlikely. My real name is not ROS. It is a play on "ricochet". @@michaelbritain5546 wow 35 yards 😳 👏 you must be a expert sniper 🤔 anything under 200 is boring. Why anyone would spend 2k on a rifle to shoot 35 yards is beyond me. Stick to 200 dollar break barrels for that yardage🤷‍♂️

Lol... you've got to be mad to spend big money on air power when you can get a decent .22rl and shoot subs. A better gun for half the money 🤣

1)What happens when your Government bans sales on ammo?? 2)Buy a cheap airgun. same price or less 🤣 3)Make cast slugs for days no primer,no powder ,no shells. 🤣

If you can't afford anything in this store, please excuses yourself.. this is a hobby.. You can't repeatedly shoot your .22lr all day, any day, everywhere tho, any city, rural or thru apt windows...can you. Have lots more fun tuning and testing the infinite .22 pellet types, u will get very bored very quick shooting your .22lr, it will get dusty rusty and sold.
