Another day of keeping the pest bird population in check. Only in this video I included something I decided to call "SIK" cam 😎 That's some really sik footage, watch the video to find out what it's about, and same as ever - I hope you enjoy it 😊

Every time I watch the “SIK” footage the song “Let the bodies hit the floor” by Drowning Pool come to mind. Love it. I try so hard to find permissions here in the USA, South Western Pennsylvania. Most farmers around here take care of their own issues with shotguns, rim fires, and even center fire rifles. Laws are much different here. No poisons, thank God, at least that I know of anyway. I think shooting is the best and most humane way to dispose of these pests, plus you can still eat them if you chose to. Love you channel. Great shooting my friend. The EdGun is awesome and the impacts are so solid. Just love it.

Just came across this video it is great I have never seen anything like this. So you first shot was 53 yards away so do you move the knob on the scope to 50 and then fine tune it with another knob or how does this work. I am very curious thank you for the teaching me

Thanks for the nice comment, Randy 🙂 No, I don't use turret tracking - I use holdover and holdunder, which basically means I use the reference points on my reticle to determine the point of impact.

Precision shooting as usual. Loved the dove hit and the SIK's were real. Alex, please tell me, my Gauntlet .22 cal is sighted in at 20 yds. If I'm shooting at a target at about 5 yds and 20 degrees down, do I hold over or down? I don't have a mil dot scope. Thanks for sharing and keep them coming.

First of all let me say thanks for your nice words, Richard 👍And with regard to your question - it depends. I suggest you use a ballistic calculator, because your point of aim at any distance and at any angle depends on your muzzle velocity, the type of projectile, its ballistic coefficient, the height of your scope, your zero and some more factors. It's difficult for me to say, as the distance you specifies is quite unusual... If you don't want to use a ballistic calc, then I suggest you simply get a target at this distance and at this angle and see where the POI is. You're shooting a pest of some sort, right?

I understand, brother. But I'd really recommend a ballistic calculator, Strelok Plus would be my choice - you don't need the more expensive Pro version IMO. Or if you don't want to go that deeper in those calculations, then you need to put targets on several places and see where the POI is. Forgive me but to tell you sth without being aware of all the variables, would be just a wild guess or a flatout lie.

I don't ordinarily bother with sparrows but we are inundated with European Starlings right now. Will concentrate on breathing and squeezing the trigger. I'd believe you without thinking twice, Richard. My understanding is shooting airguns is different than powder burners, especially high powered precision rifles or assault rifles. Practice, bud. Even only for the fun of it.

@@RiojaRoj, yes, mate, it's an FAC gun according to your standards, and as per the current settings. It's easily adjustable. It was at 12 fpe when it arrived - UK legal limit. The low power setting makes it easier for shipping regulations-wise.

Almost every time I go and shoot at that location 🙂 It's just hard to capture the right moment. I managed to in one of my previous videos, there's some footage I recorded through the scope of a cat running away with one of the pigeons I shot. Sometimes they steal my decoys too 😄😄

Watch some videos on the KZbin, bud. Videos on how to zero a scope and how to detect a possible problem with a scope. There are some cheap scopes out there that are causing problems straight out of the box.
