In this video Travis shows you how to adjust the trigger of your Umarex Gauntlet. Instead of a long creepy trigger, you can have a light crisp trigger that will really improve your accuracy! www.airgundepo...

I shot mine for the first time yesterday and was really unhappy with how long the trigger pull was. I knew it was adjustable but this video very simply and concisely explained how to do it. Great video!

AWESOME VIDEO THANK YOU. I just adjusted my trigger last night and I like my gun so much better. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR INFORMATIVE VIDEO. Showing me the process took away all anxiety. I found however, that the first time I took it apart that the bolt holding the trigger assembly prevented me from adjusting the shear stetting. The second time I took it apart, I took the trigger assembly off completely (and the side cover optional) and was able to break the bolt loose and adjust the sheer which allowed me to adjust the length of pull as well (over travel). I would recommend having the gun un-calked for this so the last bolt is not under pressure. I also found that the 1.5 mm Allen wrench was not correct for those two small bolts: the 1/16 was the correct one. All other bolts were metric. Summary: might need to take off the assembly and might need the 1/16 Allen wrench.

It's amazing to find a budget pcp air rifle that enables a common Joe to do the fine tuning on the trigger. Usually you are stuck with what you bought with no adjustments possible. Mine is on order and the adjustment procedure is the first thing I will do! Thanks for the excellent info-video.

Hey Travis. A very good informative video. After viewing my Gauntlet trigger is great. Not degassing was a plus.

Another trick is to turn the bottle a turn or so and then use the degasser tool. That saves a little wear and tear on the valve.
@airgunnersc93356 жыл бұрын
Instead of firing the rifle this would just degas the valve . Good to know. Your instructional video was just what I needed to assist me on the trigger adjustment. The next time I need to remove the action I will reinstall the screw holding the valve and not degass at all. What do think?
@monkpato6 жыл бұрын
That's not quite as safe, but the valve wouldn't be unsupported (or less supported) for very long, so it may not be a big deal. It's easy enough to degas the valve that I will continue to do so. Although I probably won't remove the bottle.
@harpoon1harpoon1756 жыл бұрын
Give the bottle a full twist, THEN use the degassing tool. Much quicker and easier on the trigger and hammer, spring, etc,etc,.........t

Video was exactly what I needed. Kept hitting pause and followed u. LOVE the trigger now! What is the mallet test?
@airgundepot5 жыл бұрын
Hit the butt of the gun firmly with a mallet to make sure the gun won't go off by itself if it is bumped or dropped.

Good job, great information. Could you please in a future video show the different size tanks that can be adapted to the gauntlet larger than the one that comes OEM. Thank you.

I saw someone remove the bottom screw, take out the spring and replaced it with the spring from a ball point pen! Makes it even less puLL!
@TuttleScott4 жыл бұрын
my over travel spring was lock tighted in and stripped the allen key. sucks but didnt really effect the sear tuning, etc. something to watch out for if anyone does this. hit it with a heat gun before loosening.

For some reason both of my Gauntlets started having the same issue on the same day. When I try to cock it the sear is not engaging. So I'm going to try to adjust the trigger to resolve the issue.
@airgundepot6 жыл бұрын
It could be a number of things. You could try removing some of the moly paste on the back side of the sear and adding a bit of pellgunoil or other gun oil so the sear rotates easier. Also, it may have too little sear engagement, or the trigger spring is putting too much pressure on the sear and not letting it go back to place.
@blackdiesel6 жыл бұрын
I discovered that there is hardly any grease in the trigger mechanism. Do you know what type of grease Umarex uses?
@airgundepot6 жыл бұрын
No, but any gun grease will work, and with that trigger sometimes oil is better anyhow. You could try some pellgunoil if you have it on hand.

Thanks - I polished all the points of contact so it's working fine. I just want to prevent future problems.

Great video but I got lucky My 25 caliber Umarex Gauntlet come right out of the box and I did not have a long trigger poll maybe they adjusted it from the factory
@N714036 жыл бұрын
I just realized that I could degass just the live gun with the tool and not empty the tank! I uncocked the gun and degassed off safety and it took nothing out of the bottle which is at 2000psi. Not sure why but I’m happy.

Jerry, I have had that happen also, but not consistently.

why do you dry fire ? will it not hurt the pin ?
@airgundepot5 жыл бұрын
If I were doing this for myself I would hold back the bolt handle to save a little wear and tear on the valve, but since I am having to show everything on camera I do it this way because it is easier.
@johnnybarbar74355 жыл бұрын
If you don't have to hand pump the gauntlet, just dump all the air and let the bottle threads and O rings have a bye on the wear and tear of removal.
