The game is a lot better than Max0r makes it seem. But it is not a very "deep" game in terms of gameplay. As he said, one playthrough will get you everything you want out of this game, and thats honestly worth it in my opinion. Does it suffer from some flaws ? Sure. Do these flaws ruin the game ? Only on a second playthrough, the first playthrough is a great experience honestly. Yes, the Ashtray Maze is one of the best things in video games.

Just as a clarification: the game isn't all in Jesse's head and the supernatural shit is real. Also Dr. Darling is just as good at carrying the game as Max0r said and the music is absolute fire. Oh and the finnish guy may be a god, though the story doesn't 100% confirm this.

The story may be somewhat simple, but I really loved it for its strangeness. It really is just the SCP foundation under a different name. The combat may be a bit monotonous but I think the story and effects make up for it, especially the really trippy parts. The Ashtray Maze is probably the peak of this but not the only trippy part. I recall a moment where you go down into the basement and suddenly you’re under an open sky that doesn’t really look like our sky. And what he called “fetch quests” is more like cool side quests to help out your friendly janitor who may or may not be a literal god lol (fr tho Arti is cool)

Yah Pierce & the Grenade Launcher are the "Ranged" gun loadouts you usually end up defaulting to at some point due to becoming a levitating psionic ghostbusting demi-god at the same time, story is still good for a 1 time run though & it does give you full difficulty control (Ha) at all times incase you are journalist-levels of bad.

one thing, Julius Caesar wasn't killed by his praetorian guard, i forget who was the first, but there was a number of them, and various general emperors who were killed and replaced by other generals now under them, it was apparently common to fire and switch out your praetorian guard when you became emperor. i can get more of a list for you if you want, but this is the info i have off the top of my head.

Soo.... the mods drop when you kill enemies, do missions and you can even buy some, now getting the mod you want is bullshit, I gave my pierce a 200% buff on headshots and gave my normal pistol 150% pure damage and more damage if I kill something to make it feel like a deagle, reload mods are essentially pointles to the guns i use, so I spam rock and use the guns while rock reloads and when gun runs out I repeat the process

Some gameplay aspects of Control are kinda wonky, yes, but levitating and throwing stuff honestly never gets old and the atmosphere and lore are amazing. Oh, and Kojima (and his usual english interpterer) has a cameo in the Playstation version, waxing poetic about seagulls and murderous forklifts - and it doesn't make much more sense in context, and it's as silly as it sounds. SPOILERS: as far as "Is it all in her head": * * * * * * * * * It's not. The footage with her sending faxes etc. is from a fakeout ending making you *think* that it was.

Maxor's video describes a constant frustration I have with a series that I otherwise like. Disgaea's marketing always says you can do anything, but by the time you reach a certain point one build and/or unit is just better than the rest. Disgaea 6 was the most glaring example, as there are two meta builds: physical builds and Elemental Burst builds. You can't inherit Elemental Burst, so any magic user that isn't a Witch will fall off. What's that? You've been getting into hololive and want to use Watame, Flare and Fubuki for familiarity? Too bad, because Polka is the only one that can keep up with the physical builds!

This is the one review where I think Max0r screwed up. Gameplay wasn't that bad, he just trash at it. (and incredibly unlucky to not get a single damage mod for an entire playthrough)

Soo... in the game the federal bureau of control is a governament organization that deals with paranormal activities throughout the world, thing from different planes of existence affect our and they deal with their bullshit and contain the anomalies wich are almost all caused by altered items, inside of the oldest house, the game is actually pretty good and the story is pretty fun, I haven't finished it yet but so far I really like and recomend it
