Interesting thing to add about the whole sans head exploding part, here's a direct comment from Zarla (the creator) that was in this panels description: "Gaster’s previous cruelty and growing emotional detachment by this point should have made him incapable of healing like this, so what happened here? You can think of it as a sort of adrenaline spike, the kind that’d make you lift a car off a loved one. In that dazed, confused state after the explosion, he saw Sans and in that moment all logical thought shut down - the only thing in his head was *my child is going to die, I have to save him.* The intensity and purity of that feeling was enough to snag Sans from the brink... though not enough to actually heal him. Once Gaster started thinking again, he lost it. This whole incident, in particular why his healing came back and what that means about him and how he feels for these two tools he made, greatly troubled him afterwards."

he also makes a comment about them in the pacifist ending. not a direct statement to say he knows about them, but when paired with the prank comment, very much inplys he does. he is also the best mosters in magic control, he is the only monster that CANNOT kill you, he always leave u at 1hp. There is also the point that he doesn't move in his boss fight, like at all. even sans moves a little. he is the only monster that does this as well. there r tons of things papyrus does and say that imply him being aware and stronger than most monsters (flowey also used 4 vines to trap him when he used 2 for everyone else)

Game version Papyrus has a little awareness of the timelines. He just doesn't bring it up that often. He thinks his and Sans' unusual nature is perfectly normal.

"There's five seasons of this." Who's gonna tell him? 33:02 Rule of thumb with AUs, if something is a detail that you weren't aware was part of the canon, it most likely isn't. Makes alternate timelines like this especially hard to dissect if you don't have full knowledge of the original. Case in point, Pap is also aware of the other timelines and RESETs in a lot of Zarla's stuff. In canon, only Sans knows (as far as we can tell for certain, Pap DOES say some odd things), and that's only through his scientist background, not seeing or remembering it.

about the flame head it's actualy a lost soul head and is something we the audience see but everyone else sees a normal skeleton. i don't know how much you know about undertale and gaster in general so i won't explain so much what it really represents as it could be spoilers. but also zarla did it because it took her awhile to settle on a gaster design so this was easier

I’ve binged this series a few times already. It hurts to watch every time but it’s such a well made story I can’t help it. So it doesn’t take a sociopath or someone that has personally been there just someone who has some fascination in psychology. I think the one thing I’ve ever had to stop and watch one episode at a time because it was too dark and emotional for me was the anime 86. Though I think ReZero came pretty close at one point.

When Sans is talking to Gaster about the puzzle cube, I'm a little surprised you didn't notice that the cup Gaster was using had the Nerv Logo or something similar to it from Neon Genesis Evangelion. "Get in the Robot, Sans..." lol. Just little details to pick out sometimes with these comics and it shows kind of where some ideas might of come from when they were making this. It's really hard for me to watch even with you reviewing it, I had to skip some of the original seasons when I tried to watch it before but you do help give some insite I might of not noticed too.

In Game, while Sans is the more obviously aware of diferent timelines existing, he is not the only one, and Papyrus has a tendency of playing dumb and pretending to be more ignorant that he actually is, he does mention Sans pranking You across time and space on a secret interactions that can only happen trough multiple resets and has dejabu when a reset is done, so it is not imposible that he is aware of it and just don't being it up, this also mean he knows the futility of fighting or killing you on a no mercy run which could be afitional reasoning as to why he don't actívate his more letal trap in that run and why he don't Even atempt to fight back

The white text on the left is a json representation of some kind of web request or login as far as I can tell The white text on the top right is a ping log (a commandline utility to test connection to an address) The white text on the bottom is a combination of some kind of process information and binary information that is interpreted as ascii text. Not entirely sure though I don't think it has any kind of meaning beyond being generic computer stuff

So this may contain spoilers and ruin the comic further so read at your own risk So gaster does actually have a facd you can see it in some art works but in these video comics its blurzed out to show sans memories he can remember sometimes but not everything luke with resets And sans and papyrus are artificial souls made using parts of gaster and gaster soul along with human soul energy because they were made to be stronger than human souls and meant to break the barrier Thats why gaster acts cold they were just meant to be tools but his act started to crumble and he started getting attached but trys to prevent it Sand and papyrus are basically gaster but split in half however its a unequal split like gaster says Sans is shorter and has a weaker body but has gaster intelligence and strong attack magic , sans also has gaster ability to remember resets Papyrus is tall and more durable and has gasters positive outlook and stronger healing magic while papyrus has gasters impaired eyesight Now you may say " gaster isn't kind and positive " well tes he was back before the human and monster war and before hed took it upon himself to free monsters and lift the burden off his friend the king
