“God creates X” is another hilarious series of PM’s that you should watch. PM Seymour is great! He’s a professional voice actor and he’s got some of his own original work that he’s been making, but he’s mainly known for his Tumblr posts videos (which is how I found him). I’ve been listening to his videos for close to a decade now, and it still brightens my day when he posts a new video I can laugh along to.

8:05 Bearded Dragon (it is a type of lizard) 12:40 There also wasn't much sugar available so average dental health was actually somewhat better. 23:45 It didn't actually, there is a whole video essay on youtube about the development of Rule 34 and NSFW 3D animation. The effect of Elizabeth is fairly tiny compared to Mass Effect.

Though I do agree, Elizabeth's model design basically fast forwarded the development cycle of ripping 3D models from games then animating them... Which then lead to the rise of Overwatch pron.

14:52 More specifically, Capsaicin *lowers* the threshold of heat receptors. Normally, any stimuli need to be above a minimum threshold before the receptor will fire a signal to the brain. So you measure not the _absolute_ heat, you measure _relative_ heat above that threshold. Capsaicin lowers the threshold for minimum signal to below body temperature... meaning your own body heat in your mouth is tripping your heat receptors. Then the brain concludes that since all the heat receptors in your mouth are sending signals, your mouth is currently about 150°F.

I’m honestly convinced that I’m allergic to capsaicin. Like, more so than just reacting to the neurotoxin acting as designed. Did you know that some people describe capsaicin as enhancing the flavour of other foods? Imagine that! Being able to taste your food *at all* when your entire mouth feels like it’s on fire!

Ah, I love the "Humanity, F*ck yeah!" Subreddit and Humans are Space Orcs tropes~ "Did you know that Humans often grow too many teeth for their mouths and have to rip some out so they grow in straight?!" [Wisdom teeth] "Did you know that a Human could have their limb broken, but would just strap wood to it and keep going? Or even shove metal rods into the bones themselves to hold them in place!" "Did you hear about how Humans will purposefully ingest liquids that impair their cognitive and physical functions for amusement?"
@jled7873 күн бұрын
Did you know humans have a fairly large pain threshold that their soldiers can essentially continue fighting with multiple injuries as long as their vitals are protected and keep functioning? Human supremacy on our planet was developed by using our innate use of stamina, ingenuity and the ability to throw things. That when the society develops, we found new ways to throw things harder and faster to kill prey easier. We had rocks, then spears, then arrows, crossbow bolts, catapults. Then with the advent of gunpowder, we have guns and canons.

9:45 : Its also changing simply due to the normalization of learning english as second language in China, resulting in more english speakers 12:40 : Sugar being the biggest dental destroyer and not being as available as it is now also meant teeth didn't degrade as fast and so combined with lower life expectancy meant dentist were more for problem caused by accidents like getting hit and losing a tooth.

I handle -20 to 20 C -20 is around the lowest we get where I live, and if it goes beyond 20, it gets really uncomfortable, and we sometimes get up to 30 C here... I hate that. The sweat-spot is somewhere around 15 C. I prefer colder temperatures. When it is warm, there isn't much you can do, but when it is cold, you can just put on more clothes. The only anoying thing with it being cold is the ice on the ground.

You know, I suddenly remembered something... vaguely similar that might be interesting. It's a story called "Billy Bob: Space Trucker". A KZbinr going by NFY (and I think by that acronym you can tell what he generally specializes in) narrated it pretty well. Bit of a long tale though. I don't remember exactly _how_ long, but at least double digit parts of decent length apiece.

Look I'm not saying we humans don't do crazy things. But these aliens are incredibly nieve if they think "conflict will happen," or necessity won't force people to live in types of places. 9:40 - Chinese and Indian have the largest number of people who speak them as a first-language, but between the countries where English is the first-language and those where it's taught as a second-language - globally English has the most speakers between 'native' first-language speakers and 'non-native' second-language speakers combined. The combined numbers of 'native' English (first-language) speakers and 'non-native' English (second-language) speakers is part of why it's the de facto language of global trade and transport (ie: to be a pilot of international flights, one must be fluent in English).
