Thanks dude, this is the one video that led me to decide and choose

I think if you have a noisegate go with the savage. If you need a noisegate it depends on what style you wanna play - and how many styles. If youre playing a variety of styles or more chill stuff (in terms of metal chill) or 80s/90s stuff go with the parallel. If you're playing extreme metal go with the brutal

I prefer a noise gate for high gain metal,. especially with a boost.

Love My savage drive its like the tone I've been searching for. However they all sound amazing. Great sounding pedals

Very Helpful video. I have a savage drive version 3 I believe and wanted to buy a 2nd od from them as a backup. After watching this video I think I will get the new savage drive.

Great sounds, but wow that song you used to demo them is your best work imo.

I like them all. I run my v2 Savage Drive into my Invective mh with its gate on, tight and boost off and its heavier than ever.

I'm looking for something to kill weak tone on my randall rx120 which of these pedals woupd you recommend I need it for metap sounding tones like cannible corpse and l.o.g
@MetalHeadProductions10 ай бұрын
That's tough because cannibal corpse really gets a lot of their sound for a super saturated scooped old dual recs. You might want need an EQ in the loop and/or look at your speaker and can setup as well to get closer to that sound. Of these I'd say probably the parallel screamer because CC use basically a modded tube screamer as it is, although the savage you can tweak it with it's controls to get a ton of sounds, but I think the parallel will do more of what you want with minimal tweaking. Log is easier, they're really tight, dry and modern. The right control will do that on the parallel screamer as well.

Love your videos man!!!! I would like though to listen at the amp with no pedals at first, to compare. Have you done noise suppressor pedal videos? Thanx again, keep up the good work.

idk, its not really needed though

@@MetalHeadProductions some effects are really noisy (boss super overdrive, revv g3), and some sound pretty well controlled in that aspect. How does the savage compare?
@MetalHeadProductions3 жыл бұрын
@@sgeorgiev it's pretty low noise as far as boosts are concerned. You can hear how clean it is in the out of mix clips especially.

They sound more the same than different. I find the Pro Tone Attack OD which is really a Tube screamer with an adjustable high pass filter and a Maxon EQ stacked on any interesting dirt pedal including a Fuzz I can get endless sh@t happening. Add the new REVV G8 Gate and it is covered.
@MetalHeadProductions3 жыл бұрын
For sure, and it's easier to hear the differences out of the mix, like the brutal drive has more of an upper nasal nasty thing going on, and the parallel is darker with more overall midrange, while the Savage can do all of that and more. They're all trying to do basically the same thing so they're not worlds apart.
@Stretchwreckedem4693 жыл бұрын
The Savage Drive sounds like it could be used best for Death Metal, i might have to look into trying one out if the opportunity arises. 🤔 Curious as to how it'll pair with my Eminence CV-75 speakers as well. They're a really mean sounding set of speakers with some complex mids in there so i feel like it would be a really awesome pedal to blend with those speakers.

I don't boost my grano, tbh, it's setup to not need a boost for modern right metal
