I have used it with enamels before but the cleaning with solvents destroyed the seals so needed new seals

FYI you dont need to use that prime spray valve with the piston pump it will prime right into the paint without using that valve. I never use mine because they go out from switching back and forth. You turn off the electrical part of the pump and pull the trigger to release all the pressure. then switch it to prime.

That tip is wore out 517 tip should have a 10inch fan you either need a smaller tip like 513 or get a bigger machine you gonna burn that machine up running it constantly. That is a homeowner machine not made for everyday use

it just amazes me that people just dont know their products. That is a alkyd emulsion water based rust converting prime in paint. It has phosphoric acid to convert the rust into a non rusting medium. It does this chemically. Therefore staining the first coat then needing a second to conver the staining. We have stuff like that in CA usa. I just hit your button looks like you are just short of the 1k mark. Please do the same lets network.

It is not possible to convert the rust, the iron oxide remains iron oxide. These are systems that block rust, do not transform it. A chemical process of iron oxide conversion is very expensive. The only way to stop rust is to eliminate it. With the block-rust like these after a few years returns.

lol...so u can convert rust to a non rusting medium? You re-invent alchemy? All it does is prohibit the contacted side of rust (corrosion) from spreading and Diseasing the surrounding surface area that has rusted. But underneath or where the paint doesnt come in contact with the diseased area still spreads but not nearly as rampant and since you water proofed the exterior..u just cut off rust/corrosion at the main source. Although there are more factors.... the exterior part is for the most part the most important from preventing more rust at its current growth rate before applying the coating. Mike...its not rocket science..but it does sound like you enjoy ur job...and take pride in it.

There are many airless machine on the market and some are actually not bad and some can do a whole roof but you would have to paint it over a longer period as it can over heat etc.

You need AIR to paint... that machine is just a open ended compressor without a holding tank. your regulator is controlling the flow of paint your sucking up in mixture with the amount of AIR its compressing it with.

Nope it works like a presure washer it actually suck up paint and presurize it and the gun atomizes it no air in the system
