Another great stream - gotta love those old aircraft. So complex, yet rewarding. I've learned masses from your entertaining and educational content. Thanks as always. ;)

Brilliant, always enjoy seeing you stream those FlyJsim planes. It shows how much preparation and work you put into these streams and it is appreciated. Enjoy having a few days off!!

I did land in Narsarsuaq as a passenger in a B727 back in the 80's. That runway IS that steep. Also, the approach is interesting, to say the least. At the time we were told that they only landed upslope and departed downslope as the B727 didn't have the performance to do anything else. Having walked parallel to the runway I fully believe that.

I took a look at some videos and it certainly has a marked upslope, I can certainly see why they come in one way and depart the other! Doubt we'll see a 727 fly for real there again. FD2S

I've done this same route with Icelandair in 1990, and Narsarsuaq approach is really amazing, flying through fjords and glaciers. But I don't remember the runway to be so steep. Short surely, with old oil barrels marking the end of it!!

Really interesting! I can imagine it's quite a spectacular approach to fly! Thankfully no oil barrels hit this stream! FD2S

Hey @flightdeck2sim. The warning light was because the INS was running on the battery. You didn't switch the essential power to external in the beginning.
@flightdeck2sim4 жыл бұрын
Nils Dornbusch oh really? I’ve always done it this way and strangely setting the parking brake immediately rectified the issue. Did you see that part later on? FD2S
@Reddeviln-d8z4 жыл бұрын
@@flightdeck2sim I just saw it! I was getting a similar error but the issue for me was the essential power but I am also not using quick align so that could be it :)

@flightdeck2sim just did a bit of research for flap 40 www.pprune.org/tech-log/334159-727-early-high-sink-rate-crashes.html seems like it had to much drag and was blocked by some operators
