LoL @ Sheriff Paul Pastor at 2:24 "This is someone who did something wrong. did something foolish, and paid for it with their life.".....um yeah... I think someone gave Sheriff Pastor some wrong information here. As far as paying for it with his life, this person was suicidal, which means they bought exactly what they were "paying" for. So the sheriff's little moralizing speech about paying for things comes off making him sound even more unintelligent than he looks.

Peter Gagnon I assure you....I know these things. I'm just still genuinely shocked that plane could actually do that, I've been on them many times, and imo they feel very fragile. I actually wanted to be a commercial/military pilot...but I got told I couldnt, ever, because my eyes were too colorblind. But despite that....i still I grew up on Microsoft Flight Simulator....like 7 generations of it. I have no idea what was going through that guys mind....but I do actually feel a ton of empathy for him. At one point on the tape....he asks ATC or the F-15s or whoever it is, he asks them something along the lines of...."if I land this plane?... do you think theyll let me be a pilot?" It broke my heart. It just made me cry, alot*

My brother works for Horizon and was there last night. He said this guy was a perfectly nice guy, didn't seem suicidal, (not that he wasn't) but also that he had been seen very recently watching training videos of how to fly planes. He was an airline mechanic who was "tow trained", which gives an employee basic knowledge of how to power on and taxi aircraft. Crazy.

Mike, you don't know me or anyone else involved. What I told you is true. And if you search, there are also reports calling him a mechanic. He is a officially a "ramp agent", and he is tow trained. These ramp agents also do work on these planes. My brother called him a mechanic. You don't have to believe me, and I don't need your confirmation. What I said is true. I was txting with my bro til around 130 last night. All flights were delayed and the last one left at 1:40am pdt.

Did something wrong, did something foolish and may well have paid with his life. Well hats of to you sir. Youre5 clearly a compassionate man!! This was a man who clearly suffered from mental health issues. Not a terrorist, an I'll man. He clearly didn't want to hurt anybody on the ground. Ttbis is a very sad story all around. My condolences go to his wife and family.

As long as positive Gs are maintained throught the maneuver. Without any passengers or baggage, it has lots of excess power, and can take a fair amount of Gs too. Cargo planes really have excess power and structural capability when they are empty.

You would think the Jets shot him down before he could crash & hurt others. But why wouldn't they do it when he was over the water? There were a few people on that island that could get hurt. And the explosion & fire could hurt people & cause property damage. I don't get it.

He was NOT SUICIDAL. I heard the entire audio from the tower to the plane. He was doing something crazy. He was probably suffering from mental issues, but definitely didn't want to die, or get blown up by the F15 Fighter jets. He knew he made a mistake but was commenting on fuel being used up more quickly than he thought it would, then it went blank. Your reporting is sensational and flawed. Anything to make it more exciting. Dufus report. Just a troubled maintenance guy who took a huge risk which went bad...RIP.

@susannaCdonovan23
@susannaCdonovan23 6 жыл бұрын
Sccratlanta So, you think so huh? They posted it on a UK Website. You must be a puppet for the MSM. The guy was afraid to land as he thought they'd jail him for life. Was especially afraid to land at the military base. Comments about using up fuel fast were recorded just before the crash. He thought the fighter jets were going to hit him. May have been right. No one knows for certain. He said he was a broken guy, and crazy, but made no reference to want to die.
@susannaCdonovan23
@susannaCdonovan23 6 жыл бұрын
Sccratlanta OK, I just heard a more complete audio. The very first part wasn't included in my first audio video, but when he said he wasn't planning on having to land it, that could be your Red Flag. I'll grant you that. He threw up a few times, said he was light headed. When he only had 760 lbs of fuel he did a barrel roll. Then said he didn't want to land yet. He was clearly not thinking straight. It's a given that he was suffering some PTSD. He wasn't in a good place. It's my opinion that he lost too much fuel and crashed. My final remarks are RIP Richard. Too sad. I'm worried about someone who has PTSD. They're always in on again off again crisis. There needs to be more awareness out there for signs, and not to ignore panic attacks, etc. Family's need to monitor them frequently. Too Sad for words.
