The A380 is an impressive plane. The work necessary to keep it in the air is very involved. Thanks for presenting this peek inside Kevin.

Unfortunately one of its downfalls is what you state. The costs in labor for turn around is something that is always left out. The Net Net Net costs of operation as well as added airport costs for the a380 is part of its inefficiencies. The bottom line of costs per fares and empty seats It just came way way to late 25 Billion Euros that will never be recovered by Airbus or the European Consortium, Funny the European Consortium is who actually pays for new Airbus Aircraft.

Wow! This was very cool. I always wondered what was upstairs in the 2-level planes. Another interesting interview for you if you are interested would be to reach out to Juan Browne who is an American Airlines pilot. His KZbin channel is blancoliro and he mostly covers his own small planes, as well as the fires and floods throughout California. He regularly flies out of LAX although he lives in Northern California and flies the 77W (to Sydney, London, Paris, Dublin) which is another plane I would love to see you feature. Perhaps he could make the way for you to visit him when he is at LAX. Great guy!

I just flew round-trip on this plane to Sydney, returning last Friday. Amazing plane. Great service from the staff. I flew premium economy which was pretty good. I hope they don't retire this plane anytime soon.

This video really highlights the immense scale of everything to do with the A380 and the operation behind it, truly impressive how much needs to be done to prepare the A380 for it's next flight. Wow! Just...wow! I'm totally gobsmacked. I've never seen the inside of a 380. It's humongous, but really amazing. The interior is really sharp. I like it a lot. The lounge area looks so cozy. You can eat at a table, just like at home! What a beast to try and maintain. 3-4 hours just to clean it up. I guess the ground crew really earn their salary! Thank you so much, Kevin and Rudy,for giving us an inside look at daily ops of Qantas at LAX. It was way cool!

We just have a small airport here in our town but the runways can handle the big planes the Antinov 124 landed here a long time ago and the Guppy has landed here several time with parts for NASA up around Cleveland. I can find pictures of Antinov.

Great video thanks Kevin. I was working in the freight industry back in the early to mid 90s and recall Qantas acquiring the freight facility. From memory I think it was the old Pan Am building.

This is an amazing spotlight of the A380 and this Qantas aircraft. What I like best in true journalistic style is the Kevin and Rudy storytelling. Not only do we get an amazing video, but we experience their excitement on the drive over. Then they show us all the people who are keeping this airplane safe and well maintained for travel. The story just needs the ending of AVL friends getting on that plane to Australia.
