I wonder how many of those airmen will end up homeless on the streets after they come back to the good old usa. Sounds like an important mission....

7:25 following - the women everywhere are more or less immediately friends, understand, start to network and cooperate, build up, share, live in harmony, non-violent. 0:57 It's not 'hell' - it's the beloved home area of the people who live their, we judge wrong, it's our fault. And because of that it had been tried bottom up with israelian and palastinean women about 20 years ago already (a project of civilization at work) - and Netanjahu and friends destroyed it - as soon as they saw this works. 1:00 - look the locals, how pretty. Uniform is alien here. I think to blend in in a way would be more smart 'than just to dominate'. And we know why the white mans soldiers are here: A. To patrol the airspace from Morroco to River Nil and from the mediterrane sea down way into the Sahel and b. protect Uran mining in Arlit. Maybe c. provide a more safe playground for europes leisure desert tourists. D. fulfill US craving - 'no place on earth is without us having a real time picture'. ('Autogenic training' - 'Empires come, empires go, I stay 100% relaxed')

How do you get money over there? Do they have banks?
@fetengineer91513 жыл бұрын
@@kennymoran4137 yes most larger locations will typically have a working finance office which is equivalent to a civilian bank or credit union. There you can get a cash advace, make transfers, etc. And if you were on a smaller location they would bring finance teams out to you at least once a month. We also could get cardboard like AAFES "pogs" which is kinda like poker chip money or load up your electronic AAFES Green Card to make purchases on Base... like a debit card. Basically, I was never short of money while I was on any of my deployments. Also depending on your remote location AAFES would airdrop at least one 53" Connex trailer full of American items like junk food to personal items, etc for you to spend all your hard earned money.

I was flying into Agadez for the 2019 Cure Salle and a US C130 was landing at the same time (I think that is what it was). Their area of the airport (not very handsome to say the least) was surrounded by Nigerien soldiers on the back of Toyotas with chinese copies of Soviet 12.7s, to keep the locals away. Niger is so poor (a sad fact due to many factors such as a huge population, arid climate, poor soil, and on and on and on) that they need every penny they get from the US and France for military bases. But I don't think the majority of the people in Agadez like them. I was there as a tourist so they liked me (I overpaid for everything on purpose) but talk about two totally different cultures (not better or worse, simply different).

Doubt it's about that as well. Try add thunderstorms and microbursts to that desert terrain. Try land any aircraft in those conditions and you're going to have a big problem without a decent surface. I have experienced some of the worst flying weather in my career in that region.
