The electric prop has been around for some time. Curtiss built an electric prop that was installed on aircraft like the B29 for use in arctic conditions. Its a pretty proven technology. The reversing function will allow people who have aircraft like a cub derivative on floats, the ability to back up on the water, which is awesome.

One thing that has an enormous effect on comfort, serenity and enjoyment of flying is perfect blade to blade balance. To what standard does you QC team advertise dynamic and static balance?

Should one of the brushes for the slip ring break can I set the propeller to one static setting until I can make repairs the the broken carbon brush for the slip ring ???

The Airmaster web site states in the FAQs that an external belt-driven alternator can be used with the Airmaster prop with a special accessory available from Airmaster. When I inquired of Airmaster about this accessory, I got no response. I am buying my engine through RANS and when they inquired of Airmaster, they were told this device doesn’t exist. Why has the web site not been updated if you aren’t providing the appropriate parts to allow use of an external belt-drive alternator?
