I had some lung restrictions. Tightness after covid. Cycling was not the same after. Doctors helped with steroids and inhaler. Now I’m riding again but I believe this will help me rebuild and strengthen those muscles. Thank you for the link saved me $45! Great video btw.

What i dont understand so far is if we breath contantly through the mouth is it not wrong for nose breathing rythm and other logic benefits of nose breathing? Thanks

You use nose breathing for three things: as a cue to stay under the first lactate threshold ; to warm up air intake ; to filter some dust particles. Airofit trains the diaphragm muscles which doesn’t know which hole the resistance comes from

That's like saying rather than stretching exercises isn't it more important to walk. Stretching exercises helps improve walking. Breathing exercises improve lung capacity and diaphragm strength. This goes along with improving breathing in general. People having difficulty breathing in general should see a doctor.

The problem is that most of your breathing is coming through your nose, therefore this is not very effective, unless it also somehow ties into your nose, which this does not

I believe this product is just as helpful for the non athlete. Lung capacity is important which includes opening up the air sacs. I purchased the product to improve my lung capacity for health.

I'm thinking it's probably good for alot of folks. I'm thinking about getting one for my dad. Though i think it may be too late for him. He has COPD. I made an idiot mistake in my life where i decided to start smoking. I've since quit. And would like to see about maybe counter acting that idiocy. I'll never have a v02 like a tour de France athlete. But I'd love to at least not die at 45 🤗

I think it would have been useful to have other sensor, like CO2 or oxygen. It seem apparently help with swimming which I just started, and I struggle with breathing, so I ordered one... I just really wish it had more sensors... Just detecting the pressure is a pretty weak tool and way too expensive for what it does... But it what happen when no one else does it, you are not forced to improve much.

You had me thinking about this for a moment. That might be an interesting idea for various reasons. However I do not believe it improves the accuracy of measuring air volume or pressure. Which is the purpose of the device. Co2 and oxygen are a small component of the air we breathe.

the goal of the device to improve performance and increase lung capacity. It does that very well. you can track your performance over time. that is the point.

I believe that the air we breath is something like 70% nitrogen 10% oxygen 20% proprietary mix of molecular spices. I'm probably off a little bit but oxygen is indeed a small portion. That's why we scavenge what we can from what we can get into our lungs 🤗

this mostly just trains the actual muscles. how you inhale/exhale is up to you.
