I see this sort of comment about the number of thumbs down all the time and my personal theory is that there is a small percentage of people out there that just don't understand what the thumbs up/down is even for. In addition I believe there are also some who hit the thumbs down accidentally. Then there is the tiny percentage who are just a holes and like to spread negativity. But generally, I really don't think 47 people meant to give it a thumbs down, probably more like 5 or something.

Excellent summary! Regarding removing tape, it’s easy to miss the tape behind the gimbal! Relatedly, I didn’t see any documentation to this effect, but *remove the gimbal protector before powering up the drone* ! It runs a diagnostic involving rotating the gimbal and that diagnostic will presumably (eventually at least) damage the gimbal if you prevent it from rotating. I haven’t had a chance to fly my Zoom yet! Got it all registered with the FAA, firmware updated, calibrated the compass, but ... work, family time ... This weekend, I’ll get even!

I agree with Gerwyn its a very well presented instructional video. I was frustrated trying to find out how to charge the remote and didn't want to plug anything into the wrong port. Lots of tutorials for us new users but this is the first I found to solve my problem ! Thanks very much !

You have done a great job on this video explaining the basic setup of the Mavic Pro 2! I have a Mavic Pro and have recommended a friend of mine to purchase the Mavic Pro 2 to watch this. He can pause and continue as he follows along with your explanation. I have thought about upgrading to the Pro 2, but still find my Mavic Pro fits my needs for small client jobs. My 1" sensor choice for a professional drone is the Typhoon H Plus. I find all of your instructional videos to be well done and professional.

Thanks for the video I just bought a Mavic 2 zoom flew it for the first time in my front yard. It is very steady and easy to fly I have many years of RC aircraft flying experience prop planes, jets, giant scale and even a few years of helicopters. I just never got into the quad rotor aircraft I had planned on getting into quad FPV racing but my wife wanted a DJI. Much to learn can't wait to take it out and get some good videos. I have a ipad I was planning on using ordered a mount with the neck strap it I may even get the goggles later down the road. I was able to fly it using my tiny iphone SE The quality is very good everything is well thought out and I like the fact everything works well. I live in AZ so lots of places to explore with it should be fun.

Great video, only concern I have is @10:04 you leave the slider insert on the cable and snap it in from inside, according to DJI instructions the slider is to be removed and snapped in from the outside and then the cable part pushed in to the slider from the inside? Does it matter. I have heard of folks damaging the little notched section on the slider if its inserted incorrectly.. some clarification on this would be appreciated ! Also a bit surprised you would leave the blades on doing an initial setup on the drone, would it not be safer to have the blades off ? Also showing how to calibrate the IMU and Compass before first flight would have been good, especially the Compass calibration which you did not mention.. just a few thoughts as you are gearing this towards someone who has never flown a drone before and these last two steps are very important . Cheers
