I took a financial management class in college and the reason why most company’s don’t make planes (like Toyota) is because the airline industry is not as profitable as you would think. Especially when it comes to buying commercial planes, it’s not profitable because planes aren’t often replaced because they last a while and usually are sold in bulk to an airline. Not profitable to produce planes if you only sell 10 every 15-20 years.

Based on the photos, I don't think a chair actually flew out because the chairs next to the door are still there. However the cushions flew out and I think it twisted some of the metal on the chairs. Also it wasn't an emergency exit door, it was a door plug where an airline can choose to have an emergency door installed. Also the plane was only commissioned for like 2-3 months.

The only Alaskan airline that ive flown was a small dual engine cesna that seated 15 people total when i flew out to literally butt fuck nowhere in alaska one year.. fukin landed on a grass strip and were totem poles when i got off.. was pretty cool tho cuz was one of 6 people on the flight and pilot asked if we wanted to dive in some glaciers and stuff which was friggn insane..

I have never been in a more ratchet flight than the one going to Vegas from Florida and the one back. And I didn’t even go to Vegas. I went to Zion national park and Arizona. The quality of people in that plane were trash.
