A bit disappointed in his review, active noise cancellation was never designed to get rid of talking, the algorithms work to remove disruptions such as cars on a street or engine noise in a plane, but none of that was mentioned.

The way active noise cancellation works is by sending the opposite sound wave to cancel them out. Which works best for constant white sounds, but stuff like music or talking that creates a variety of different sounds, it’ll struggle to cancel that out

Just picked up the airpods 4 ANC yesterday and so far I am absoloutly LOVING them. As an autistic, the ANC and ability the listen to lofi (which calms me down) is borderline life changing. I tried out the pro 2s in the store and personally though the 4s sounded better - the quality is the best I've heard in headphones so far and I'm so far incredibly happy with them!

What this video doesn't mention is that the noise canceling feature completely gets rid of any low end noises like the rumbling of a car/plane engine. The fact is that because of the looser seal in the ear, the earbuds can't get rid of any high end frequencies because there is room for the sound to sneak in you ear (even if they fit perfectly)

I have the 4 with anc on an Android. I must say these do pretty well 70% of the noise can I take public transportation and I live in the city of Chicago. Obviously it's not going to knock out everything but it does better than most non-air tip earbuds

Ykw? It’s funny you mention that cuz yes I did get the regular 1s w/o noise cancellation. Besides they’re cheaper. Maybe in the future sure I’d get the noise cancellation 1s. The thing is… the AirPod pro 2s already do that. ( which I have my eyes on next) And they’re expensive but they’re worth it cuz of what they do ( including adjusting and adapting to noise outside and noise cancellation). + w/ them now soon able to be used as hearing aids? You just can’t go wrong.

Lost the case to my 3rd gens, and because the case is 80 whole bucks I decided to upgrade to the 4th gen with ANC because it has a findable case + it doesn't have the annoying, uncomfortable ear-tips of the Pro 2s.

Never liked active noise canceling because of the "pressure" effect I get while its on, but I've come to love how the the seal of in ear buds can passively reduce a lot of outise noise and also boost that bass.

I’m hearing impaired on one ear and I run on roads. I’m already at disadvantaged with my hearing lol so noise cancellation was never really a big thing for me. Besides, it’s kinda dangerous to totally not hear your surroundings since I mostly use my headset when I’m outside or watching movies or YT at night. Just checking since my 3rd gen is already 3 yrs old.

I had the original pros and lost them recently i think i’m gonna get the regular now. The only thing i will say about the pros is my ear does get sore after a while of wearing them cuz it completelt closes it off and its harder for me to hear and i usually wear one all day at work so i think the regular will work out better for me. I am worried about the gym how well theyll stay but they seemed to stay fine for him.

Yes the 4 cancellation is worth it, i use them at my construction job and everything. Settings come in handy and its nice to have options. The 4 pros id imagine are even better.

I have the Pro 2 and the 3rd gen and i honestly think that the 3rd gen is better because the pros fall out of my ear and are just not comfortable but the 3rd gen that just sits in my ear is so much better and it doesn't fall out unless you don't have them in right because people say "they always fall out" but they only fall out if you have them in the wrong way. So I'm thinking about getting the 4th gen with ACN because i like ACN but i don't like when its ACN almost all the time like the Pros do.

As an Android User who is using aipods 4 with ANC, the earbuds fit my ears perfectly and I must say it does a great job of canceling out about 70% of the noise and you're still here stuff but not as much as you would good this is coming from an Android user to props to Apple for this

Just bought these, i upgraded from the 3rd gen. I upgraded because I wanted type C and I’m sick of having to keep a lightening cable around. The noise cancellation is very good, considering you don’t have the gel tips plugged into your ear. Compared to my other the ear XM5s, of course they aren’t at that level, however they work well enough.

The earwax problem is one of the reasons why I REFUSE to get the pros 😂. Since you have to shove that thing so far into your ear canal, that’s thing’s gonna be filled with earwax so damn quick. And it’s gonna be disgusting 🤮. But, I refuse to have to clean them every single day. That’s why I’m sticking to the 4s. At least I only have to clean once a week instead of everyday
