Iove the Nothing design in general They make really nice looking tech and they're performing good like their phone 1 which i have I just hope they'll also publish the black version of ear 2 so it matches my black phone 1

I'd say my dream would be the Nothing design with the case and connectivity of AirPods. I'm a bit scared at the durability of them, but they're cheaper than the AirPods 3, with noise cancelling too. An interesting proposition.

Great video Mike! Can you clarify the battery life and fast charging for these? How long is the battery with ANC off? Must be at least 8 hours given the crazy fast charging spec, right? If so feels like a huge battery loss if you choose to use ANC.

I am using the Ear 2. The battery lasts 2.5hrs with the ANC off. Hope Nothing team will fix the issue :)

IMO these things are the best at busy places and still having decent mic pickup. Other earphones that I have, including my airpods pro 2, they don't have that.

My old nothing ear 1’s stopped working when the case just stopped charging them even though the case was fully charged. Don’t think I’m gonna go back to them because of durability

I am using them with iPhone 14 Pro with Tidal and the only thing that makes highs sibilant is the personalized setting. If you turn it off the high frequencies are just amazing.

If ur priority is battery life, there's nothing like boat nirvana ion. The buds itself last for 24 hrs of continuous playback, and with the case, the battery lasts for 120 hrs. The sound quality will also not disappoint at all.

The mic test has a hissing feedback-like noise in them when you talk, noticed the same thing in another video. Hopefully that can be fixed through a firmware update

I compared then against my AirPods Pro on an iPhone 13 ProMax. I found the NE2 were better for me overall except during calls. The AirPod Pro feature worked better. On my S23 Ultra, there was no competition - NE2 won hands down. They work with my Thinkpad and will flip to the S23U for incoming calls.

🧢 u must really hate Apple lmao. Nothing earbuds don’t even compare to any popular earbuds like AirPods, Galaxy buds, or beats. Sound quality: ass. Battery: garbage. Microphone: shit. I was able to try them bc my brother has them (now he uses AKG), and they are even worse then I though they were even with my low expectations. Battery doesn’t even close last as long as advertised. Not only are they not better or even remotely close to AirPods Pro or even the standard ones, but they are just not worth it overall even if u don’t compare it to other earbuds.

OnePlus buds still better, this "Nothing" buds is overall just an ever so slightly upgraded version of the 1s, while the OnePlus is basically a class above and actually competes with the Galaxy buds 2 Pro or even Sennheiser of the game

Try different sized plugs usually pretty much every brand has different sized plugs in the packaging.

Also one of your ears may be bigger or smaller than the other so you can try for example a Medium in one ear and a Large in the other

I own nothing earbud 2 with hi fi sound chip and I was blow away by the sound quality. It can compare almost to Bose qc2 earbud and Sony wf1000x4 and sennheiser mw3. All I care about is sound quality and comfort. Rest is bonus to me. I listen to a lot of different kinds of music such as Turkish, Indian, reggae, etc. after some software adjustments nothing sound really great. Nothing ear 2 is wayyyyyyyy better than beats and AirPods.

If you really cared about sound quality you would use B&O or B&W. Even Master & Dynamic will be better. MTW3 though are an amazing all round earbud. Bose QCIi and XM4 are, sadly, garbage for their price. ANC over all other things. Very small and closed sound stage.

300ms latency is a joke and Low Latency (as low as 120ms) can only be done with the Actual Nothing Phone and in Gaming Mode only (According to their own website). in 2023, that should be a hard pass for a lot of people. The Oneplus Buds Z2 does 97ms latency with almost any phone.
