My hearts go out to evacuees and those who lost homes. We lost homes in my neighborhood from the Tick Fire in 2019 and seeing this still triggers that trauma. These fires are no joke. Evacuate when they tell you. We packed and left our fire threat before the orders came and chaos on the roads stated. Pack important stuff and just go.

Texas has 20 fire trucks en route to California. Austrailian fire fighters are arriving next week. Six thousands boots are on the ground right now, it's just not enough for 3 out of control fires. The National Guard has been called up, arrived today, but won't start fighting the fire until tommorow. The fire started near where I live by CA workers who were trying to replace worn cement barriers to stop motorcylists from riding in the canyon and one of their trucks sparkted and that started the Airport fire. I've been hearing helicopters and sirens all day long. What happened is the fire was coming towards Rancho Santa Margarita and Coto de Caza down the hill but changed direction and went up the hill heading for San Bernadino in one direction and towards the Ortega highway which is how you get in and out of Lake Elsinore, it's two lane curvy mountain road with lots of trees. I also want to give a big shout out to the police and fire fighters that were here for the last two days, they have been incredible; especially since I don't think anything is scarier than having a fire near you. All prayers are appreciated.

Orange county employees started the fire in trabuco canyon, because they were worried about motorcyclists entering the area and causing a fire themselves, while in the process of moving boulders to block the trails. Being orange county is directly responsible, they should be throwing all of the money at it possible.. yet they are only worried about their side and not ours. The lawsuits are coming, for loss of wages at the very least.
