Damn, this footage is crazy, really shows how wild these fires really are. All the helicopter footage and long-distance shots at overly-safe distance from news stations don't do it justice. Mother nature is powerful - best of luck to residents and firefighters alike!

Amazing footage! Please be safe out there.🙏. Those views of whole hillsides engulfed in flames made me sick to my stomach. I live in the mountains of Colorado and am no stranger to seeing smoke clouds on the horizon. But this footage was like looking into the depths of hell at its worst. Since this fire was started by a government cleanup crew I think the State of California, The County of Orange need to pay for the damage and costs for putting it out. This is because of lack of proper brush removal. this should not be on the insurance premiums of all Californians.

this brush has not burned in years, thick and large growth all aound those hills and canyons. Thx city workers in the OC using heavy equipment moving those boulders around near the airport and 'sparking off' a setting the near by brush on fire to allow this fire to happen in the first place, total idiots running depts these days. and why was there NOT a water truck on hand to spray to keep those sparks at bay per OSHA requirements?????? hmm!!!

It seems like they forget & are more and more sloppy with everything! They are 1000% responsible. And if you happen to drive the OC freeways at night, the construction signs are non existent! They put some orange cones in the middle of the frwy blocking off 4 lanes all of a sudden. Very haphazard. No signs warning you that lanes are closed ahead, then there is actually no construction, it’s just blocked off for no reason at 10 on a Saturday night 😮. This is every night. I am fed up with the way they operate!

After being evacuated 2 times in NorCal recently this is so terrible to see. We had crews up here from Arcadia, Alhambra, Glendale and other SoCal areas up helping us I know these guys must be exhausted. We had a crew stay on the property for almost a week after literally living on their truck. 🙏

With wind-driven wild land fire like that, there is not much you can do. It'll jump a road or a bulldozed firebreak. You might save a structure here and there, but basically you have to wait for that wind to die down.
