Hi Osaka Nomad. Thank you for sharing your transit experience with us. We regret to hear that your experience at NAIA Terminal 2 did not meet your expectations. We’re pleased to share that all our international flights now operate out of NAIA Terminal 1, while Terminal 2 is exclusively for domestic routes. This change aims to streamline transit and improve the passenger experience for both international and domestic travelers. Additionally, we regret that you were unable to download the MyPAL Player app at the time. To enhance in-flight entertainment, we have replaced the MyPAL Player app with our Wireless Inflight Entertainment (IFE) system. Simply connect to the onboard Wi-Fi to enjoy a wide range of entertainment options directly on your personal device. We appreciate your feedback and we look forward to making your next journey with us smoother and more enjoyable!

to be fair though, even transfers in Heathrow take this much time. People connecting from their British domestic flights to codeshared american airline flights have a good chance of missing their flight because of the security controls and terminal transfers.

fair but old video, terminal 2 only has domestic flights now. and all PAL international flight operate out of terminal 1

Manila airport was handled by Philippine government for many years and you know how poor government service is. It just transferred operations to PRIVATE hands recently and is now operated by Inchon Airport operators. Expect great improvements in a few months. 😊

Based on your video, it appears that your arrival is at Terminal 1 and your transfer is at Terminal 2. However, as you said, the plane is parked somewhere. It seems that it is parked near Terminal 1 (@4:23). If there's any consolation, Terminal 2 was partly funded by the Japanese government.

Just over the past week I also did this terminal transfer but only had to show a boarding pass. However, terminal 1 and terminal 2 are third world standard airports. Sub-standard food, uncomfortable sitting areas, no 'free' wifi unless you have some local registered sim, expensive ordinary coffee and boring. Having said that, for some reason I didn't mind hanging around the airport.

Having experienced all 3 terminals and knowing what amenities each terminal has to offer, i would strongly recommend against ever transiting in MNL. All 3 terminals are of 3rd world standards when compared to all the other major hubs in ASEAN like KUL, BKK, SIN. The money saved is not worth the mental anguish that you will experience.

I noticed that there is room for improvement. Yet, taking connecting flights with PAL is one of the cheapest options to travel between Singapore and Japan.

@@mikekobayashi I don't mind flying PAL, but the airline is let down by the extremely poor infrastructure at their main base airport.
