Good shooting my friend! What kinda predator bird did you say you thought it was at the end. I think it was a peregrine falcon. We have a lot of peregrines here in the southwest of usa. They do in fact prey on birds I have 2 videos of 2 separate events where a peregrine is stuffing his face, one with a dove and the other was a pigeon. They were both taken in town and both of them were on top of a street light enjoying their meal. Its pretty awesome to see mostly cuz of the size difference perigrins are probably 2/3 the size of a pigeon but both cases I saw the bird go from the ground to the top of the pole with those birds in tote!!! Anyway enough rambling keep up the good work.

I saved a young and dehydrated one last summer, and the vets told me so when I brought it to the clinic. Hey, Carlos. A good bipod and steady surface. Elbows should be rested on that surface too. That will iliminate most of the shaking. Of course, there'll always be the issue with the hand that holds the grip and pulls the trigger. But some practice and getting used to will most certainly improve your game drastically.

Thanks, buddy 🙂 Yes, you're right, all corvid species are very smart and hard to shoot. And this one at 18:04 expired a second later, he was not hiding. If you increase the volume a little, you can hear the thud when he hit the tin platform beneath him. Very high though, I couldn't retrieve his body. Good luck with the magpies in your yard. Perhaps a hide of some sort will do the trick.

It depends on the distance - and I shoot at various distances - and also on the type of pellet. At close to medium range regular diabolo pellets do go through them, but exit their bodies heavily deformed and at a greatly reduced velocity. That's what I like about diabolo pellets - they're safer to shoot.

There are so many choices out there these days, mate... There's no such thing as a perfect gun - just a gun that's perfect for a given shooter. That being said, I recommend you look into Edgun, Daystate, Kalibrgun, RTI Arms, and of course - the widely spread FXs 😁

On that one I took a follow up shot - it's the next shot in the video, the bird was incapacitated to say the least but still alive. Buddy, you have to understand that pigeons are generally underestimated - yes, they're not big birds, but they're strong fliers, hence the strong muscles in their chest. Sometimes the soft lead pellets (they get easily deformed upon impact) get deflected and fail to inflict fatal damage to the vitals. That's why I'm always being careful and doing my best to not leave birds suffering. And also that's why I always tell people asking me about sub 12 fpe guns to shoot at close range, so that the kill is instant and humane. Furthermore, I get questions about air soft guns and I strongly advise against such being used for pest control.
