I love the humanization of Judas in Godspell. Judas Iscariot is probably the most hated name in western history, and Godspell makes him a conflicted guy with some bitterness toward the world. I dig it.

When I was a kid... My mom dropped my little sis and me at the movie theater... And ugh... Forgot we were there... So we just watched Godspell over and over again... And then eventually walked home... For my sis and I... It was one of those horrible memories from childhood that bonded us... So we knew all the songs by heart and still sing them to each other when life gets tough... Yes.. It's all for the best... And we can build a beautiful city

Don't get me wrong, I liked the number! But those foam hats don't fit anybody anymore, I swear they made them when peoples' heads were much smaller! My brother and I invested in real straw boaters for this number, and even found pop up canes at a downtown Cleveland magic store - mind, this was before the movie came out!
