AYYY 2K Good job dude! You deserve it! I would like to mention there are great cheap options for eye pro. Specifically I-Force are In my opinion the best glasses/goggles. However, I prefer my dye over anything else, but if you want glasses I-force dual pane goggles are around $20 and they are ANSI rated.

For your first AEG, first buy yourself good eyepro, okay back to the AEG: check for a full metal gearbox, with decent internals. Even if it has low rate of fire, sounding scratchy and everything, it does not matter on the low budget. Make sure it is al steel or a better aloy (internals). The piston can be nylon, no problem. The external body can be anything but know this: It doesn't need to be metal! Nylon or nylonfiber body's are amazing and lightweight! The one major thing is to check if the compression is good and if the hop unit can hop the desired BB weight. 1 to 1.2 Joules (345 - 360fps) have the highest range with 0.28 and 0.30gram BB's. If you can't hop these weights you can upgrade the bucking (and nub) to something like a maple leaf or a TNT TR bucking. Remember, all the bucking has the do is sit stable and hop the BB's no need for R-hop or S-hop as it will require buying a new barrel when the part is consumed and worn out. Again the bucking is a consumable item, it will wear and tear. even the R-hop magic wonderpatch dingamadohikle. TLDR: First eyepro then AEG; Check for good compression and if the hop can hop 0.28gram or 0.30grams on 1 to 1.2 Joules, thats all you need in the end. A nylon fiber body is great aswell no need for metal

5 years in and I just got my first pair of combat pants today (mainly because I am tired of ripping my jeans!) I agree, I put my money towards guns mainly and comfort. I don't have a huge armory like some, but the upgrades are where it's at. I got a cheap mesh mask as my first mask and I bounced back to it because it reduced the chance of getting shot in the cheek again. My first chest gear was a little tactical harness which worked well, but my chest is a bit more sensitive so I ended up getting a Condor Plate Carrier off Evike and it works wonders. Of course I'll still get hit in the chest at the right angle but it's not that bad. My first gun was a $20 spring shotty, but I opted to get an AMD-65 (AK) from Red Star and it was great for indoors which is my primary environment. For the newbie, just make sure it's got metal internals and not cheap plastic. If there is one thing to not cheap out on it's your gun and your face/eye protection. You don't want a gun to go down on the first day and keep breaking, and you'd might as well get a decent set of goggles or something like a Dye to prevent fogging. I highly recommend people take apart their guns and not be afraid to do so. It's cheaper than having someone else do it for you, and in the event something breaks you'll know how to fix it, and with that said, you can't go wrong with a tightbore inner barrel and a hop up bucking upgrade... those are two of the easiest and cheapest things you can buy and upgrade and you'll seriously notice a difference! Great videos! It's always interesting seeing where other people started, and how they expanded their kit, or what they'd recommend and compare it to myself!

If I had any advice to give I’d say fuck the outfit I’ve been playing for a while in a short sleeve shirt and pants, but buy a nice chest rig or belt and buy a nice mask, fogging will ruin your Airsoft experience

For batteries I recommend getting Titan Lithium ion batteries. Lipos if discharged all the way will die.
