This may not be the best Bond movie, but this had, imo, the best car chase of the entire franchise. The Vanquish was beautifully showcased, the sound of the 5.9 litre V12 is just glorious! And for once, it wasn't destroyed like almost every other Bond car.

The irony being I was 13 when I watched this (shortly before my voice broke!) this was my very first Bond film to watch in cinemas. Although I liked it at the time, now as a 30 year old adult I sort of cringe at the film, storyline, script and character development. Wishing it was a more better Bond film. But despite all that it was this film that got my love affair for Aston Martin, the Vanquish was what really set the tone for me loving it's cars

The stunt team took out the v12 engine and replaced it with a v8. I'm not sure from what car brand though.

Jaguar had way more missiles than the Aston Martin yet chose not to use it. I'd say the Aston had the most powerful armor of all; plot armor.

Your opinion but more than half of it is a car chase is across a flat plain background…with the main stakes being that the love interest might somehow manage to drown in a room made of melting ice (rather than just, swimming out), probably the worst car chase in the franchise, the only interesting part is the use of the ejector to flip the car back around.

Bond films have been OTT since Goldfinger (with the exception of OHMSS and FYEO) but Die Another Day took the series into dangerous territory...it could easily have sunk Bond all together

I think a lot of people - not all, I'm sure some liked the film - came out of the cinema not liking what they had just seen. Barbara Broccoli and Michael Wilson, the Bond producers, are on record as saying Die Another Day went too far.

It’s not invisible, it’s camouflage. The car creates an image of what you would see if there was no car.

I love that this guy has a mounted machine gun firing less than a foot away from his ears, and his bald unprotected head. He's driving erratically on snowy terrain, one bump and he bounces upward to into the line of fire. And thats right after bond visibily sees the "invisible car" and hides behind it lol

Moonraker's soundtrack is absolutely gorgeous. It's a great shame they couldn't get John Barry back for this film, it might have compensated slightly for Purvis and Wade's rotten script and an inexperienced director's mishandling of the more far fetched elements. Deliberate absurdity needs real talent to make it entertaining...

Seriously guys, what's with all the hate for Craig. I like Brosnan's first 3 outings but I personally think there's only two worthwhile scenes in Die Another Day: this car chase, the sword fight and Rosamund Pike. Everything else like the story, villians, dialogue and Halle Berry are all awful. Casino Royale was exactly what the series needed to bring it back to its reality based roots with a solid plot, great performances and amazing action scenes.

This movie had some great ideas like Bond getting caught up, on his own now. M gave up on him, MI6 had a mole Pike. Uptil the CGI Iceland showed up and Jinx too. Lee Tamahori ruined it.
