Buy or Sell: The next Holiday World expansion will be an Easter themed family area in the open space next to the Thanksgiving area. It would have a GCI family wooden coaster to be a stepping stone for younger guests to work their way up to the larger woodies.

As a Phoenix native, I don’t understand why we don’t have a big indoor amusement park. It would print money. There is a severe lack of fun things to do during summer due to the insane heat, and summer is just getting longer and hotter. We used to have Legend City, but that closed long before my time. Castles and Coasters is… a special park. I could see Tucson getting a small regional park. Kind of like the one in Albuquerque.

Not only that but you could easily build a park in the Northern part of the state where Summers are pretty mild comparable to Colorado and draw thousand of people willing to make the drive up from Phoenix. I think a park outside Prescott or Flagstaff would flourish especially since those towns get tons of visitors from Phoenix already

Probably because golf resorts have been more profitable. And big indoor theme parks have mainly worked as magnets for huge malls. The real money comes from retail. Not sure if there's space adjacent to Scottsdale Fashion Square for an indoor park, but barring that, a resort hotel would probably be needed with a new park. It'd be great to see a well-themed Nick Universe and hotel there, but not holding my breath for the Triple Five Group on that.

Buy or Sell: Cedar Fair will start working more with GCI and their Titan Track, due to their unstable relationship with RMC. p.s., Zambezi Zinger gives me hope that Cedar Fair will bring back Thunder Road at Carowinds as a Titan Track coaster one day, I miss it.

Buy, though I don't think CF is done with RMC. If Zambezi was closer in layout to an RMC Hybrid in its elements I think probably, but RMC delivers world class coasters on the super cheap. I do think CF is done or mostly done with conversions though. I predict Single-Rail or ground up Hybrids as RMC's future in the chain.

Buy if someone's willing to spend the money for it. Six Flags just shot themselves in the foot again and won't get anything major until they get a new CEO Cedar Fair's options are limited, as the parks that already have Gigas or B&M dives are off the table. Knotts has no space, CGA is getting nuked and the bottom four parks are a hard no. SeaWorld, Herschend and large independent parks could all do it, but it's still a lot of money to spend.

They only need to fill 15000 rooms a year to sell out the place…considering it’s been running 90% full on average, it’ll stick around for quite a while before they need to do anything drastic…it also wouldn’t be THAT difficult to completely overhaul the baseline story and provide a “New Voyage” experience for the diehard Star Wars Whackadoodle fans

Buy or sell: Zambezi Zinger will be the new standout attraction for Worlds of Fun Buy or Sell: Worlds of fun will not get another coaster for ten years after Zambezi Zinger. Buy or Sell: Universal will not add a new coaster to their Orlando park until at least 2028 I could go one for days. I love this series

1. Considering how long it has been since anything new has come to WoF, I can see that. New attraction=interest. 2. Agreed, in fact I think the Zinger may be the final add before Cedar Fair opts to sell off the park in my opinion. 3. Disagree. Especially in regards to Universal Studios. Islands of Adventure needed some new blood to get the interest and they got it in Hagrids and Velocicoaster. Now they need a new powerhouse attraction for the proper Universal Studios. As far as Islands of Adventure goes, 2028 I could see that.

Hopefully so... I've been through the penguin exhibit and it doesn't look like anything's happening to Empire of the Penguins. Adding a new, less expensive, more traditional dark ride would be the perfect fit for the park.

I can see COTA getting a Polercoaster, they’ve already got a huge observation tower and being able to sell tickets for the F1 to watch from strategically placed rooms. There’ll be the lure of aircon.

I know you probably recorded this before the announcements today, but since Cedar Point and Canada's Wonderland are getting new coasters next year and Carowinds is getting an entire new area with several flat rides next year, I don't think it's out of the realm of possibility that Kings Island will get a Vortex replacement in 2024. Especially considering that Kings Island has not added any new rides since 2020.

@@AirtimeThrills any thoughts on the rebirth of Zambezi Zinger? Feels odd to have 2 GCIs right next to each other even if one is going to be a ground up hybrid. Still happy to recieve some love. Just feels like maybe the 3rd/4th best coaster in the park with a ceiling of being 2nd. Happy to have it, just feels redundant given pur current line up. The best wooden/hybrids in Mo IMO are Outlaw and Prowler, it doesn't look to be better than Outlaw, I can't oicture it being better than the bigger faster also terrain coaster Prowler, and I was on board for T-Wolf becoming Iron Wolf which you would have to think is completely off the table, as would being in competition for Railblazer. Thrilled to receive a coaster in what is a very trying economy and I'll be there for opening day next year, just seems like a strange addition.

Buy or Sell: Six Flags will go back to their high volume/ low cost business model. Longer explanation: Six Flags attendance was abysmal this season due to their switch to a Cedar Fair-esque model. The issue is they claimed it was to “improve guest experience by shrinking the number of guests in the park.” Problem being services, ride reliability, staffing, etc. haven’t increased in quality with the increase in prices across the board. Not to mention many of their parks (SFOG for example) exist in markets where potential consumers are a lot more price sensitive. Stock dropped nearly 20% today. I’d love to hear your thoughts.

Sell with a contingency. The CEO said Six Flag tickets are going to increase again. He says it’s to keep the rowdy teens out since they appear to be causing problems all over (this plan will fail because to my understanding this problem is happening everywhere even Disney). If a new CEO comes in then maybe they will go back to how it was. But we’ll see until then Six Flags is deciding to follow Disney’s lead.

Chris, here's a good buy or sell for you: Buy or Sell: Six Flags America junks Batwing within 5 years. Not sure on this one. On one hand it does have very slow dispatch times and spotty operations in general (it opens at noon, and only one train). However I did ask an employee and was told said one train was rebuilt completely from scratch. Then again, if they can rebuild the train from scratch, I could see Batwing lasting a little longer. Also, what's been the problem with Steel Curtain at Kennywood?

I think flight deck and patriot both have a case for being moved from CGA. Iron wolf was moved from SFGA to SFA 20 years into its service life, and I’m fairly sure the CGA B&Ms are running significantly better than that one was. Plus it would allow the chain to get their smaller parks a new ride for a much lower cost and reset their clock for new investment

Buy or Sell: Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk will have RMC retrack the Giant Dipper. My reason for this is that due to the coaster being a historical landmark, it can't be reconfigured or restructured. It can be retrofitted and retracked though. Plus this would make the ride much smoother and I would assume require a bit less maintenance.

Alton Towers love to go for their "first ever" coasters, with Smiler, Oblivion, Galactica, or Th13teen as examples. So they'll probably do this with SW9. Maybe they replace Rita with the world's first 100mph LSM launch or they get a ground up RMC and have the longest time upside down with a killer Zero G stall. Idk just some food for thought :)

This is definitely an overreaction to them losing 20% of their stock price in one day, but who knows? Also, here's another two that relate to it. Buy or Sell: If Six Flags does get a new CEO, the company goes back to being the discount chain. Buy or Sell: If Six Flags declares for bankruptcy again, Cedar Fair buys at least one of the big three (MM, GAm, GAdv)

cedar fairs big four is more cedar point, kings Island, Kings Dominion and Knotts. Knotts instead of Canadas wonderland. you cant leave the park that makes the most for the chain off a "big 4" statement.

In terms of attendance, yes. In terms of future potential, no. Knotts (and to a lesser extent Canada's Wonderland) have such little space left that I'd actually consider Carowinds as the final member of the quartet, at least in the company's eyes.

buy or sell = Lagoon's upcoming Coaster "Primordial" (slated to open 2023) quietly makes waves. They're touting it as an "interactive coaster". So it's not gonna top any thril-purist lists, the question is whether or not they have the innovative elements to turn heads. - Also, this is Lagoon we're talking about. They came out of nowhere with Cannibal, so it isn't out of the question for them to pull it off.

Buy or Sell 2: Do-Dodonpa will undergo a MAJOR overhaul in order to alleviate the spine-fracturing problems, such as toning the launch back to 107 mph and replacing the trains with more comfortable ones. Buy or Sell 3: In the future, a new type of forceful launch system will be introduced, but it will be less of a mechanical pain in the butt compared to the hydraulic and air-compressed launch systems we currently have. Buy or Sell 4: Gemini’s replacement will either be a Gerstlauer Infinity Coaster with 16-17 inversions or a Hyper-Inverting GCI woodie, similar to Son of Beast, but with 2 vertical loops and much more successful. Buy or Sell 5: COTALand becomes the next Energylandia, and will compete with Magic Mountain and Cedar Point in having the most roller coasters in one park. Buy or Sell 6: Energylandia will get a B&M Giga, and it’ll be the tallest and fastest in Europe, as well as the tallest and fastest non-launch coaster, stealing the title from Fury 325. Buy or Sell 7: Green Lantern is relocated to either Six Flags Darien Lake or Six Flags Mexico, where it will be turned into a Floorless coaster, and its replacement at Great Adventure will be a B&M Wing or Dive. Buy or Sell 8: Viper at Magic Mountain will be replaced with a MACK Rides Giga coaster, the manufacturer’s first ever. Buy or Sell 9: B&M builds their first ever Strata coaster, sometime between 2025-2029. Buy or Sell 10: a future Gerstlauer Eurofighter/Infinity coaster will feature rare inversions, such as a Butterfly element or a Pretzel knot. I'm guessing the future for launches is just to make LSMs more powerful. They're so much more reliable than the alternatives. There's a point beyond which you need dedicated power storage like an ultracapacitor to make them work, but it sounds as if this is already an extant technology.

If the Disneyland Resort were to get a new coaster, I could see them gutting the building that Monsters Inc- Mike and Sully To The Rescue is in and turning it into an indoor coaster like they did with Universe of Energy (aka Ellen's Energy Adventure) to turn it into Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind.

Buy or sell: Six Flags New England's replacement for Goliath (and Flashback) will be a Mack PowerSplash. I heard this speculation from another KZbinr and I don't know how I feel about this one. On the one hand, it does seem like it'd fill holes in the lineup: it's a launched ride, it's a novel water ride, and these are things SFNE needs. But all PowerSplashes so far are exactly the same size, they're pretty huge, and it seems like it would just barely fit if they took out both Goliath and Flashback and rearranged some other stuff.

@@koalakyle19 I dunno about that. CF only put 17ish million into that ride when they are perfectly happy shelling out many times that for B&Ms. I don't think they give up on SV even if they need to convert some of the structure to steel.
